Have any of you tried filler to fill in the 11 wrinkles between your eyebrows?
I hesitate to get Botox or Dysport ever again in this area as I am mostly convinced that it contributes to facial sagging over time...
Thanks, BFG |

I have never tried filler there but in asking my Derm he said he has had hardly any requests for it there unless they are very very deep. His fist line of treatment is botox over dysport.
I have been doing the botox there for over 10 years on and off and never had an issue with any type of drooping. It just retrains my muscles so that I don't unconsciously use them when I am tired. It always depends on who is doing it in my opinion, as much as the product itself, maybe more. |

I have a very deep furrow between my brows and had Juviderm filler about 6 months ago. While it didn't completely erase the line, it did plump it up a bit. I was advised to return in a couple of weeks for botox, but never got around to it. |

No need for filler if you use Botox. Over time, the Botox will erase the deep creases by relaxing the muscles. I know, because I had some pretty deep ones before I did Botox and they have virtually gone away. One really deep one is so very faint (and has been lessened some with needling). It did take a few years to accomplish this though BFG. (And I did have 11's and almost 111's). Now - all that remains is a faint '1'.
I did ask about the sagging related in this location and my injector said it would not happen here - different mechanisms involved.
I do get some added injections in some areas of my forehead that create a 'lift'. If THAT is done incorrectly (usually an inexperienced injector), then those areas can cause some sag of the eye lids. I've never had that problem with my injector. A good injector is very important. |

Hi,
I have been having botox and fillers in what I would call maintenance amounts for about 16 years. Firstly I am sure the botox does not lead to sagging. My current injector often puts a tiny amount of filler under the line in the furrows and does botox as well. He says the two work collaboratively to a long lasting result. It definitely seems to work. I never need botox now any more often than every 6mths.

Botox will never contribute to facial sagging over time...it's a temporary substance that inhibits muscle movement. After about 3 months it's completely gone, and your muscles return to normal.
First, are your wrinkles static or dynamic?
ex. Do your "11" lines only appear when you make a certain facial expression, or are are they there all the time?
If they only appear when you make certain expression, then they're dynamic wrinkles, and these are best treated with botox because they stop the muscles that are causing the wrinkles.
If they're there all the time though, then they are static wrinkles, and it is possible to fill them in with fillers. But if you choose to get fillers around your eyes make sure you go to someone with A LOT OF EXPERIENCE ... this is a very delicate area to be injecting dermal fillers, and not a lot of people will do it. |

I would also recommend Botox, because the other dermal fillers do not address these 11 or glabella wrinkles. Botox injections are ideal due to the botulinum toxin's properties to slightly paralyze the expression muscles used when you frown, relaxing them, smoothing out the skin, but not affecting your general expression movements, and definitely not causing facial sagging over time!!! Good luck! |

Have you tried the Opal with a peptide serum? This works great and doesn't take too long. Maybe 2 30 second cycles once a day. |

Thanks for the responses.
I have decided to spot treat the area with TCA and deeper rolling.

I thought the Opal only worked for the under eye area. Just wondering how it affects the 11s between the brows? TIA! |
