I'm looking for sunscreens made with nanoparticle (less than 100 nm) zinc oxide, coated or uncoated. I've been searching the Web but have found only two examples: Keys Solar RX and Laverna (whose sunscreens are currently out of stock).
Some sunscreens, such as Badger, are made with micronized zinc oxide, and might contain a small percentage of nanoparticles, but I'm interested in formulations with 100% nanoparticles.
I'd appreciate it if I could get some examples of the above. Thanks. |

why would you want to use nano particle ZnO.. there is a discussion that they can be harmful.. micronized is safer.. |

Actually the weight of evidence indicates that zinc oxide nanoparticles are safe on healthy skin.
The advantage of nanoparticles is that they are far less whitening than other forms of zinc oxide. |
