ok so here is my story. I had a chemical peel on my face for the Melasma. It looked perfect, but within 3 weeks it came back 10xs worse. I am not sure if this is from the sun or the chemical peel just irritated it.
So my Dr gave me a compounded formula 4% hydroquinone, Retin A and some other stuff in it.
Someone told me trimol. So Im currently using this.
I use Aloe Vera Sunscreen baby kids 100%. Then I put my powder on with a big brush. The problem I have is you can see where the color of the skin is two different colors!! HELP me with any tips ou have. I cry over this. Never use to wear make-up like this!!! |

I like medium to full coverage foundations.
Laura Mercier Silk Cream and Creme Smooth Foundation are wonderful. Silk Cream is oil free. Creme Smooth is excellent for dry skin. The coverage is wonderful. You can sheer it down or build it up and it lasts all day long. These two foundations (Silk Cream in the summer and Creme Smooth in the winter) is what got me through my skin when it went crazy on me last year. It was red and dry looking all the time. It was so dry that I had difficulty getting any foundation that my skin didn't 'eat up'. Within minutes it looked like I wasn't wearing anything. Laura Mercier was perfect for it.
I don't need as much coverage as I had needed. Right now, I love Giorgio Armani Designing Lift Foundation and I use the Luminous Silk Powder on top of it. It lasts all day and looks like skin. Extremely natural looking for me. I was told it had the most coverage in the Armani line, but I still wouldn't call it high coverage.
If your skin is oily, or combo-oily, you will actually have more options. There aren't as many options for medium to full coverage foundation for dry skin. While there are some foundations that were moisturizing, they wouldn't last on me. |
