Can I pop open a CoQ10 capsule and rub the inside substance on face? Do I need to mix it with anything? I have the Nature Made brand. I opened one capsule, and saw that the inside gel was a bit oily and "beeswaxy" and orange in color. Has anyone tried this? |

not a good idea,it's supposed to be used in .5 to 1% concentration and not 100%!!! It wont do u any good in 100% , not to mention you ll look like a turmeric root! |

Yes, it will probably stain if you use it directly!
You can thin it out with an oil that your skin likes, or use silicone if your skin doesn't get along with oils. (I'm just recommending oil because Q10 is oil soluble. You could also mix it with a cream or a DIY emulsion.) |

I've used twice straight from the capsule at nighttime. It stained my face slightly orange, nothing too bad. It also stained my pillow but it washed off. My eye were slightly puffy in the morning, but that happens everytime I use something oily overnight. My skin did not look any different in the morning. |

I don't mind staining =) I am thinking of combining the gel with some good old coconut oil. However, my gel is a bit oily and "beeswaxy" already. I wonder if it has any additives in it already? What do you think a good measurement would be? Will it even soak into my skin? |

It should have the ingredients on the package and/or bottle. Pure Q10 is a powder, and you can purchase it from suppliers. It just sounded like you were dead set on using the capsules, so I think we all started giving you suggestions based on that. |

Grapeseed oil or olive oil! and do it when your slightly orange skin wont be a bother. and take it off before bedtime( orange pillowcase) and apply your own favourite moisturiser.I am also wondering if it would be good with Argon oil. That stuff is truly amazing for fine wrinkles. and perhaps under a masque. |
