Any recomendations on something to firm up the skin especially around the jaw line? Is there anything even or do I have to think about surgical intervention? Im 40 and after years of yo yo dieting my face seems to have decided to head south. I dont have wrinkles or lines, just saggy jowels.
Many thanks |

Hi Sukil!
I am also 40 and have the same problem after dieting on and off over the years. But, I am starting to see a jawline again and I believe it is the Vitamin C Serum I have been using, it really seems to have toned up my skin. I don't use any other products on my face area other than than the Vit. C Serum, Hydrating B5 Gel and an SPF 30 sunscreen), so I can't attribute it to anything else but the Vitamin C Serum. |

Neck exercises are great for the jawline. Seewww.facercise.com, her neck exercises are good for jowels. There are lots of other exercises around online Have a search on EDS if you're interested, there is some good info in past threads with links to free exercises online. |

Get DMAE and put in your fav skin cream. Also hormone creams estriol alternated with progesterone. If you have really saggy skin only surgery will help. HRT will also help you can not avoid a thickening jawline without hormone replacement. And yes I believe it is safe. People who take hormone replacement simply live longer. The recent WHI study is a crock. The breast cancer data reported was "almost statistically significant" (i.e. not). Also even if it was when you compare to the risk of eating fish you get the same #. Basically not important. Also women with breast cancer who take hormones recover better.
Estrogen only HRT clearly inhibits breast cancer.
P.S. I also have had good experience with facial exercises. I'm near 50 and have just started using topical products but 3 years ago I had bad wrinkles and with only diet (basically low carb) and facial exercises I reduced them to basically nonexistant. I have only one wrinkle on the left side of my mouth and a few fine lines. In fact this Monday a college freshman way over half my age asked me out. |
