Hey, now i've got pretty fair skin... but dark hair so when i started shaving I used to get a clean smooth shave, now as the years went by after i shave or even wax i'm left with black dots inside my leg which are visible... but its not ingrown hairs... its more black pores. cuz if i squeeze them, the black dot comes out cuz its liquidy, how do i make them go away??? what are they? and do any of u have a similar probleM? i cant squeeze all of them because i'm left with a red mark or bump sometimes...

Myztic,

I have this same problem but I think some of the dots are ingrown hair. When I squeeze some, a small hair or liquid squirts out. I don't know what it is, but it happens everytime I pluck or wax my hair. It doesn't really occur when I shave.

Anyone know what it is?!?

Sorry Confused , no idea what it is. BUT, I think that usnig a body wash with AHAs would help to keep your legs exfoliated and maybe get rid of the problem.

What have you both tried already?

I'm using the body shop shea body scrub.. like an exfoliation, seems to be helping a LITTLE bit but not much, any suggestions??? cuz its really annoying, cant wear short skirts or three quarters, i've even had my legs lasered (temporary) and it doesnt seem to help much... its like pores and mayb a few ingrowns

*alpha-hydroxy acid*

You could try any cleanser with this in it, like MD Formulations, or a lotion. I have heard good things about GlyDerm.

Well, I haven't had these dots before, but I have used this after waxing to prevent ingrowns, and it does work for that. It will exfoliate, but it shouldn't feel "worse". Look for something with at least 10%, and if you use the cleanser, rub it on dry first, leave it for a few minutes, then wash it off.

I know what you're talking about - I have the same problem on my legs I consulted a dermatologist on this a while back, and was told that it was due to ingrown hairs and ultra sensitive skin. I tried all sorts of creams and lotions but nothing works. However, as of last week, i've started using tendskin on my legs twice a day as well as using an exfoliating scrub and dry-brushing. The spots have not gone, but some of them have 'surfaced' and I can now squeeze them out. If you ever do find another remedy, I'd love to hear it!

I used to get those dots after using an epilator (the lazy quick way), but not when sugaring/waxing.

Regardless, I just use DDF glycolic body lotion right after removing hair and it keeps the dots away Smile I think it exfoliates the pores, and I rarely (if ever) have any ingrown hair.

I have dots on my leg, its been years that iv had them for. From waxing to shaving i started getting the dots. Its like black pores. When i shave they are still visible it kinder looks like i haven't shaved even tho my legs are smooth ('Sad').Some you can squeeze to get the liquid out, others that you squeeze a hair comes out. But this black pore is something different not squeezable there's many of this all over my leg deep beneath the skin layers ('Confused'). The black pores are not ingrown hair or razor bumps. Iv tried soaking my leg in warm water and deep exfoliating which relaxes your leg and opens the pores but that doesn't seem to work. My boyfriend touches my leg and see's all the dots, he did talk about it saying my leg feels so smooth but whats with all them dots. he helps me out now to find ways to get rid of them, but i feel embarrassed because i want no black pores on my leg ('Crying or Very sad'). I no you should never use soap to shave which gives more black pores and i no laser will not get rid of the problem. l will be going to the doctors about this to see what they provide me with ('Bad Grin'). Anyone that has a solution please post a reply.

Hi, I've got black dots too and I was wondering if the black dots you guys had, have gone away with the time.
I'm french, i've tried a lot of different french forums, and i don't know how to make the black stuff go away. But you guys seem to have found a lot of solutions, so could you please tell me which ones worked best ? Or if they just go away with the time.. Personnally, I use the epilator to take care of my legs, before i used wax, i very rarely use my rasor.
Hope you'll see the message !

I think exfoliating is the key. Its what has made the biggest difference for me. I dry brush and use an AHA lotion.
