I did a search but I couldn't really find exactly what I am asking about, or the threads were a few years old (and we all know how often new products come out).
Anyway, I don't have Rosacea, but I do worry about the redness of my skin. ESP now that I'm using Vit C serums and Retin-A, I see the redness. Lately I have been using Retin-A very very sparingly so it's not as bad, but I'd like to be able to use it more than once a week.
I was going to try Avène Antirougeurs Fort Relief Concentrate for Chronic Redness because Allure named it in their 2012 Beauty Breakthroughs, but the actual reviews don't seem to be that great. Now I'm thinking about La Roche-Posay Rosaliac Skin Perfecting Anti-Redness Moisturizer.
Has anyone tried either of these? Or another product that has helped their redness/calmed their skin significantly? I use a very gentle cleanser and moisturizer as is, and I LOVE the effect the Retin-A has had on my skin, it's just obvious I've always been prone to the redness and now I want to see if I can do *anything* about it. I don't like being pink!! |

If you have redness,I think maybe you should use some mild products.I also have the same problem sometimes. So I always use natural organic products. |

I have read about both of those products in Allure and from what I have read, they look good! No idea about texture and smell.
I have recently tried GloMineral Redness Relief Powder and I think I like it. It is a yellow loose powder that you buff on after your moisture and before makeup. You can also re-apply during the day over your makeup. The powder is very fine and is nice enough to wear alone. |

I have a pink-toned complexion and am also looking for a topical treatment. I was considering a product made by Babyface Skin Care called "anti-redness spray." I contacted the company and they explained that it is effective for irritation. I didn't purchase it, because I don't think this is the primary cause of my pinkish coloring. I think mine is caused by vasodilation. (I do like Babyface's products, though.) |

I am hesitant to even post this, because this brand has the ability to stir up a storm. La Mer is extremely expensive and many say not worth the price.
My mother has been using it for years and convinced me to try it. I could not believe the difference in my skin when I did. It calmed the redness down very quickly and my skin looked great. You need very little and have to apply it properly or it is wasteful and won't be effective
If you have access to somewhere who sells it, it is worth getting a sample. The very small sample pot they gave me lasted me over two weeks. I used smaller than a pea size amount and applied it the way they told me to. I don't use it on my neck or decollate. I use my other creams for that. My mother can get a 2oz jar to last her close to a year. If I could get that much time out of a jar, than it wouldn't be as cost prohibitive.
Anyway - no haters please. Just wanted to share because it made a tremendous difference in my skin.
Before I tried La Mer, what started to make a difference for me was concentrating on hydration. My skin was dehydrated, dry and sensitive. Emu oil helped a lot. I am still in the process of trying out serums. Right now I am trying the Caudalie Vinosource Serum SOS. I can't afford to use all La Mer products. Because La Creme de La Mer Cream has made the most difference, I am going to continue to use it. For serums and other treatments, I am sticking with NCN Skincare and am still trying out other serums for dehydrated skin.
Good luck in finding something that works for you. Google was my friend. This forum is extremely helpful as well as various blogs and Makeup Alley. |

Hi Catski
Was there a particular Origins product you preferred or did you use a combination of products to get the result? |
