I read about it and did use magnesium salts as bath salts a couple of times. Can't really tell the benefits. But Google for magnesium sprays and benefits it looks so promising! |

I haven't used it in a toner, but I love it in my body scrubs as the exfoliant. I'll occasionally add a teeny, tiny bit to my on-the-spot face scrubs. It makes my skin very soft and brightens better than sugar or salt.
There are a few brands that use it in their facial creams & serums (the only one I can think of right now is Kiehl's, but there are others too) because it's supposedly a very good antioxidant. I don't understand that because epsom salt is known to absorb farther than the skin when used in soak water, but I'll give them the benefit of the doubt. It probably just helps with thickening the product, but you never know. There's also a running theory that magnesium cations help keep elastin from degrading, but I haven't seen much actual research about that.
It's dirt cheap and silky, so I'm going to keep using it anyway. It's definitely worth a try. |
