ret in a micro

I have had clogged pores forever. I have been using paula Choice 2% salicylic acid..and Bragg apple cider vinegar 1-1 for a toner. My pores have much improved..but I also have wrinkles..I am 80 years old. I started using Tretinion cream .05% every third day...no irritation..but it's causing clogged pores. I am thinking about ordering ret in a micro from ADC...I would like to know how to use it..and what % to order..unless I should order both the .1 and .04% at the same time. Is that what you guys have found do not cause clogged pores vs the cream? I know the Tretinion also comes in gel..which would be better? if so what %?

You might want to try the gel. The cream could be causing the clogged pores, there may be an ingredient that your skin doesn't like.

I dont have a problem with clogged pores, but I've used both the Retin a and the micro. They are both creams and seem to be similar. I've not compared the ingredients.

The micro is a nice product. Since the prices are fairly low, you could try both the gel and the cream and see if there is a difference.

The gel should not clog pores, but is strong. Start with the lowers % you can find, and use over those areas where you tend to get clogged pores. You may want to try the Retin A micro on the rest of your face.

As for the cream, you may be able to use you cream on areas that don't get clogged pores, i.e., the backs of hands.

I'm calling troll on this post.

80 year olds tend not to say "you guys" and are too farsighted to see clogged pores.
If you are genuine...laze in the sun, enjoy some chocolate and wash it down with a nice glass of wine. You really have reached the point in life where you deserve to chill out and not worry about about your minor physical imperfections.

I didn't know it was even possible to have clogged pores at 80. How can the skin still be producing that much oil??
