Help with current regimen! Combination of BHA and Retin-A?

This is my current regimen:

AM
wash face with CeraVe
apply DIY Vitamin C serum
Burnout sunscreen

PM
wash face with CeraVe
apply Paula's Choice 2% BHA liquid
(wait 30 mins) apply .04% Retin-A Micro

I basically do 2 nights on, 1 night off, as in every 2 days I skip BHA and Retin-A to give my skin a break.

I am relatively young and still deal with acne issues, hence the reason I use the BHA liquid (I can't give that up!). However, I also want to address aging concerns (small fine lines and preventive measures) so I use the vitamin c serum. I know vitamin c serum should (according to some) be used in the morning to increase sun protection of sunscreen.

Basically, can you use BHA and Retin-A Micro together at night (assuming the skin can handle it?-- mine can). Paula Begoun says you can use AHA/BHA along with Retin-A at the same time but I am wondering what all your opinions are on it.

Furthermore, if any of you have critiques/suggestions for my routine, that'd be great too! Smile

I use AHAs, BHAs and retin A together at night. Followed by an antioxidant serum and moisturiser.
I don't wait between applying the different products.

What you're doing already addresses fine lines. Just add a moisturiser if your skin needs it.
