Do you usually wear makeup every day (like religiously)?
Almost every day?
About half the time?
Less than half the time?
Almost never?
And which makeup product can you absolutely not live without?
See poll. |

Less than half - I'm kind of all or nothing with my makeup; I either do a full face with full on lipstick and/or smokey eyes etc or wear absolutely nothing.
Makeup product I can't live without: don't really know.... this changes a lot - I used to love the Dior Hydrating concealer before it got discontinued.... I'm really liking MAC face and body foundation right now + the moisture-cover concealer. I also like MAC paintpot in groundwork and Lancome Definicils mascara.
I've also just started using RMS uncover up concealer - just got it yesterday. Not so impressed so far, but we'll see how it goes. |

Eye makeup every day for me. I look too washed-out without it. At a minimum it's eye liner and mascara. Usually some eye shadow and blush too. |

Almost every day. Always foundation/bb cream, blush and lip color when I do. Eye makeup about half the time. |

One of my goals when I started hanging out on this forum was to never have to wear makeup. I'm there, I only wear it for special occasions, and even then its minimal. I do wear Rosebud Lip Salve every day but it is just for comfort and texture rather than color. |

I wore makeup seldom before my 40's and even then minimal amounts. I never felt I needed it. Now - a little color is a good thing but great skin care allows for days when you want to go without. |

Daily make up user here. To cover up the sunscreen and then some concealer to hide what needs hiding. Because I have come to a sad realization - sunscreens make me look dreadful. If it's some plain physical stuff then it changes my coloring to something unnatural, depending on the sunscreen the unnaturalness ranges from looking slightly pink (ages me 10 years) to full-on zombie (is just unsettling). Tinted sunscreens look horrible on my skin as well, if it's a nice finish then the shade is too orange and dark, but mostly they look too chalky anyway and that's never a good look, but if I apply less I get zero protection and skin darkens.
So it's a smooth sunscreen (happens to be have a ghastly milky color) and some foundation+powder on top to make me look human again.
Nice side effect: makeup also sets the sunscreens so well that they last 7-9 hours in most cases.
Another weird thing that made me think lately, strangers are much nicer to me on days I wear a bronzer and then they generally think I'm younger as well. |

On my 'non-makeup' days, I always wear eyebrow pencil and tinted lip balm at the very least. Sunglasses, too, if I am out doing errands. If I will be indoors for some errands, then I wear concealer and eyeliner.
I work with women who, with one exception, come to work bare faced. They look older and washed out, in my opinion. |

I always wear at least sunscreen and concealer.
Esp right now almost every day as my skin broke out 2 months ago and I am not happy walking around with some very obvious red spots on my face.
Usually at least half the time I like eyeshadow and eye liner.
I do not use mascara much- in the winter my eyelashes get frozen a lot and it would make a mess...
Blush- sometimes, but my cheeks are naturally very pink and any light blush does nothing.
I like lip gloss, but in winter again w freezing and a big scarf it is just messy...
so usually a lip balm w spf...
I like eye makeup as it is fun to try new shades.
It might also help that a lot of makeup artists in the past liked to practice on me at one store I went to and would try all the weird shades on me that other people were afraid of,lol. |

I wear it every day now. I always want to look polished for myself and the people around me, but there are times during the day when I have none on and when I have to go out, I wear makeup. |

I don't usually wear makeup. I only wear makeup when I have to go on a special events or important matters. I just like it the natural way without any makeup. |

I wear eye makeup everyday and foundation when my skin isn't peeling (Obagi side effect even though I'm on maintenance). I love to play with makeup and colors and create looks so I'll still put on makeup even when I'm staying home and not planning to see anyone that day.
And it's true that people treat a person a lot nicer if they are wearing makeup. Maybe because you seem put together or it's a male/female thing. |

I use a tinted moisturizer then a mineral powder foundation to get a more even skin tone. and then I apply a slight layer of blush, eye liner, brow powder, mascara and lip tint. |

I always wear a full face -foundation, powder, blush, eye make up. Work days I keep it quite neutral and smoky eyes for nights out.
I couldn't live without foundation as my skin tone is uneven from years of acne that has left me with red marks. If I don't wear make up people think I'm ill. |

When I worked 6 days a week, I wore makeup 6 days a week. Now I am back to 5 days and wear makeup 5 days a week. Maybe 6 days some weeks if something exciting is going on. |

Glad to know I'm not the only crazy person who tries different makeup looks even if I am staying at home
I also like to try different nail polish looks and even put nail designs on my toes!
But I have not put anything on my toes yet this year.
Usually I had patterned toes last summer and thought it was a fun look! |

usually just when I work. And then, very little.I just curl my lashes, maybe a little mascara,a hint of eyeliner at the end of the eyes, pore concealor, a touch of blush, I do fill in the brows and then just a dot of pink color to my lips.I think when you are in your 50s the biggest mistake women make is too much makeup and foundation can make you look older as it settles in the lines.Bright red lipstick at 50 is the biggest mistake older women make. |

You just reminded me of the little old ladies I see on the bus here.
Usually the women I see are 70, 80+ and they dye their hair this super dark shade or else I've seen many w blonde/yellowish (a family friend does this, lol) and then a lot of face powder, super bright red lipstick, very bright blush.
Not really the greatest look, but I kind of figure if you make it to that age you can do whatever you want to your looks. |

Rarely.
If I'm going to an event I'll wear a light layer of foundation, a touch of eye liner and shadow and a sheer lip color.
If I'm feeling saucy I'll carefully apply layers and layers of many shades of red lipstick! |

I wear foundation almost every day because my skin is not really presentable without it. Also, a tinted lip balm/lip crayon as well. But full on eye make-up/lipstick only rarely for special going out events. |
