Which would you guys buy first if the main objective is to tighten/firm skin and help slow down further deterioration? I've read and read and read, and some say Micro-current is more effective, others say the Ultrasound/LED red light combo is the most effective. |

The basic premise of versus is the red herring preventing you from finding an answer.
As with health, skincare is best approached with an awareness that a multi pronged open minded approach invariably provides the best results. |

To slow down further deterioration, I would say needling is the best choice.
Microcurrent doesn't have any real proof behind it from a tightening/firming standpoint and ultrasound is only proven to help increase product penetration via cavitation.
That said, I own a cheapie microcurrent ($14) which I like, and just bought a Sqoom ultrasound knockoff ($260) As Catski said, it takes a multi pronged approach, unfortunately. |

Bethany, what kind of Sqoom knockoff did you buy? |

A Merbe from eBay. It appears to be identical to the Sqoom M1 model. |

Needling?! I can see why many people just give up.
Re. product penetration via ultrasound, that could be a good thing if there are skin actives that actually do work to correct aging changes. But I am not really aware of any, tried Skin Biology peptides for a year and they did nothing for me. I do know the vit c serum works topically, I wonder if deeper penetration via LED and ultrasound would help more with collagen production.
Bethany, I read on one of the threads you've had success treating Marionette Lines with your microcurrent, have the results lasted provided you keep using it?
Catski, I am planning to get both, just pondering which to start with. |

They have lasted as long as I kept using it, but the improvement is pretty minimal. But I'll take any help I can get!
FYI that the top actives for skin are Vit A and C. |

Oh, forgot about vit A. Probably because I can't use retinoids, they give me an itchy rash.
Re. the marionette lines, I feel the same way. Any improvement would be cause for celebration. |
