Totter - Do a search - there are some recent threads on bio-identical hormones with successful results.
Best - sis

I have been taking bio-identical progesterone, and it helps immensely with hot flashes.

Maybe have your levels checked to see if everything is balanced. I must say that when perimenopausal symptoms became serious my doctor put me on birth control pills that helped immensely - but it took a few months before everyting was quiet and cool again.

I think you do need your levels checked. I think progesterone at night really helps with the hot flashes.

I totally agree with Lotusesther and CarolB...you need to have your estrogen, testosterone, and progesterone levels checked and then they will prescribe the appropriate level of whatever you need. It truly has been a lifesaver for me.

Wish there was a like button on here.
I actually did have my hormones leveled checked (spit test) and every two months he ups it just a little but that doesn't seem to be working!
Thank you all. I will look for the other thread. You all have been very helpful.

The urine test is more valid than saliva.
I take hormones that I get from i-herb.com and they work great. I do standard dosing but that isn't for everyone. (Bi-est and progesterone)
