Is there a place in the USA to get glutathione injections to lighten the entire body? I have been looking online but haven't found any that exist in my area or in the USA. Because of the taboo here some of these clinics don't advertise it |

The capsules are not going to work. the injections are much more powerful. |

I have a feeling they may be banned by the FDA in the States, for off label use?

Glutathione injections could kill, FDA warns

MANILA - Illegal injections of a cancer-treating chemical pose a risk of death to legions of Filipinos who use them to try to whiten their skin, health authorities warned Tuesday.
The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) suspects the drug glutathione is being injected in high doses as a skin-whitener, but said it can cause serious conditions including kidney failure and blood poisoning.
It has issued advice against taking regular injections of the chemical -- approved only for treating cancer -- because the government suspects licensed skin doctors are among its purveyors, said spokeswoman Jesusa Joyce Cirunay.
"We have been getting reports that they are being administered by people who have experience in injecting medicines," Cirunay told AFP.
She said the agency had monitored many cases of glutathione use resulting in ailments, but gave no figures.
The agency said that claims had been made that glutathione whitened the skin by deactivating the enzyme tyrosinase, which helps produce melanin, the pigment that gives human skin its colour.
But these claims have been widely disputed, the agency said.
It warned that repeated injections of the drug could lead to kidney failure, blood poisoning and toxic epidermal necrolysis, in which a large portion of the skin peels off, exposing the human body to many infections.
"The alarming increase in the unapproved use of glutathione administered intravenously as a skin-whitening agent at very high doses is unsafe and may result in serious consequences to the health of users," its advisory said.
The government is gathering evidence that could lead to prosecutions, Cirunay said without giving details.
Skin-whitening treatments and products including soaps, lotions and deodorants are popular in the Philippines and other Asian countries. |

Wow that sucks. I've heard it worked really well though.
There are a lot of Nigerian actresses/singers who have been able to lighten their skin dramatically and I suspect they are injections. I am desperately trying to figure out what they are using. I guess I'll have to do more research |

There is a Skin Lightening board over on Skincaretalk forum. I know there is a lot of talk about what the celebrities use, and they can tell you what is both safe and effective. |

Hi! Try Glutasome. My friends are using this product and you can see the effect in 10 days. You have to take 2 sachets per day. Gel-formed glutathione with vitamin C. ![Smile](images/smiles/smile.gif) |

I heard products that contain licorice root can whiten the skin.
If anything can damage your kidneys, that is really bad.
One of my friends she is just 22 now and she has had kidney problems most of her life.
She has had to go to the childrens hospital to have her blood cleaned for 8 hours a day...every second day or else she will die.
I think she is waiting for a kidney, but didn't really ask her. She can tell me about that if she wants to but does not like talking about that at all.
I guess her family can not or does not want to give her a kidney or maybe they have kidney problems too? (no idea).
Is there maybe some kind of body peel you can do every week or so that lightens?
I know I was/am using Mario Badescu whitening mask, but it has not "whitened" my skin.
It does get rid of dark spots left from blemishes, but would be too expensive to use all over your body. |
