Vi precision plus peel? Doesn't feel like it's working

I went and had a regular vi peel about 8 weeks ago. Worked great. But the nearest place that does them is 4 hours away. So I decided to buy one and try it myself. I bought the vi precision plus kit and put it on last night for 6 hours. My face itched like crazy after washing it off. But today I don't feel anything. No itching, no tightness, no dryness. Nothing and it makes me wonder if it's working. With the first peel, my face was very tight and started peeling on day 2. Has anyone else had this happen? Is it normal?

Where did you buy it?
Did you de-grease the face before applying peel? Did you wait a few minutes between layers, allowing each layer to dry?

I bought it from the dr. I completely cleaned my face before applying it. And I followed the instructions. But they didn't say anything about letting each layer dry.

VI doesn't make a home use peel.

The Precision Peel is a booster that is added to the VI Peel. I have no idea what would happen if you used it straight onto the skin, without the VI Peel.

I would call up this doctor you bought it from and ask some questions.

ETA - You must cleanse the skin before applying a peel and then also use a degreaser like acetone.

I did use acetone and I didn't just put it on my skin. I used it in conjunction with the vi peel.

hrm, I have no idea why it didn't work. I would ask for another set or your money back. I have serious problems with them selling it to you. I don't think VI intends for consumers to be able to purchase this without a professional application.

But I am not saying the average person couldn't apply a peel...It isn't rocket science after all! Good luck!! It stinks to plan around serious peeling downtime and then have nothing happen. Don't forget to use the towelettes that come with it! The retinol in them help to peel you.

I bought my VI Peel online for $169 at Skincareandpeels com. I had it done once at a spa and saw that it was super super so after my friend bought one and did it herself I did as well. I loved the results. I almost feel the one I did myself worked better. I will diffidently do another one later this year.

Yes that is normal. I'm sure you peeled the next day. I buy mine online at skincare and peels. com . It's half the cost and so easy to apply. I've done 3 a month apart and my skin looks amazing now.
