I have extremely oily skin which causes me to breakout in pimples. I'm looking for something to control the oiliness during the day but i don't know if it is okay to use with my sunscreen. I use the Clarins UV Plus Day Screen which is essential for me as i had a fractional CO2 laser treatment 4 months ago to try and help my acne scars.
At night i use Vichy Normaderm Night. This helps a lot, i still wake up with a very oily t-zone but if i don't use it i wake up with oil covering the whole of my face including my cheeks which is where i get a lot of my pimples.
I don't use any moisturiser during the day as i've found that if i do it just makes my oil worse so i just stick with the Clarins Day Screen. I use a face wash with BHA & SA in it but it doesn't help much so i was thinking of incorporating a mattifying moisturiser or toner into my morning routine. Is this likely to reduce the effectiveness of my sunscreen though?
I'm 33 by the way but i have had oily skin and spots all my life apart from when i went on roaccutane but i don't want to go down that path again as it left me with terrible scars which i am still trying to treat now ![Sad](images/smiles/sad.gif) |
