So I bought a new eye cream the first weekend in February, around 2/5 and I only used it for a couple of days. I woke up that Sunday morning to puffy eyelids and sunken in eyes with dark circles. I stopped using said eye cream and have given it a few weeks now and my eyes still look the same My eyes look even more "hooded". I went to the dermatologist and he said it was inflammation and gave me prednisone which did nothing. I'm super bummed and scared I've ruined the skin around my eyes from using a cream for just a few days. Has anyone else had this issue??? If so did it improve and how long did it take? |

The Dr prescribed prednisone because he considered it an allergic reaction to some ingredient. You might want to give it more time.
What was the eye cream and what was in it?
I can't imagine any eye cream creating anything permanent...especially after such a short time.
I've heard some people having a really bad reaction to copper peptides around the eye but you should still recover from just a few uses.
Just be patient and avoid anything else harsh. |

It was the lancome high resolution refill x3. I took prednisone for a week and went back to dermotologist because no improvement. He blew me off second time and told me maybe I need to look at it a different way. I don't know what else to do. I've been only washing eyes with water and wearing no makeup but they still look awful. It's been a little over three weeks now and I'm scared I've done something permanent just from trying an new eye cream because they were out of the one I usually use. |
