As titled. I shaved my legs all the time in the summer and I guess that results in large pores. Any ways that I can minimize the pores on my legs cuz it doesn't look attractive Sad Also, I have quite a few marks on my legs. Anyone knows how to get rid of it or lighten them? If anyone knows of any solutions, pls let me know cuz summer is coming. Thanks. =)

Are you sure it's just not dots from shaving? I get those too, little dots where the hair grows in-- the hair root. I use a body oil with clary sage so the hair grows in finer, and also using a self-tanner camoflagues the dots a bit. I don't think you can get rid of them unless you have laser hair removal or something...

yes they are hair roots indeed. Try to use wax instead of shaving would help.

Maybe you should try using a moisturiser afterwards with an AHA. I found that after continued use the little marks on my legs have faded.

yeah now that I look closely, they seem to look like little dots where the hair grows out. But how come I don't have them on my arms? I shaved my arms too. I tried waxing b4 but it doesn't totally remove all the hair. Btw, how do u get a close shave cuz I can still see stubbles on my legs. Sad I always admire those girls with nice legs.

the hair grows faster on your legs than your arms.

Yes.. I also recommend waxing or epilating. I own an epilator and honestly I would never SHAVE ever again. The outcome of shaving for me is just gross! Lots of nasty ingrowns and rashes. My hairs are growing back finer from epilating.. and I BARELY have any ingrowns at all.

Lisey, can u tell me which brand of wax u used? I tried Veet wax strips on my arm once b4 and it didn't work too well. Also, what exactly is an epilator? Is it something similar to an electronic razor? Thanks. Smile

I used to use sally hansen's waxing strips or something like that. It worked okay. I also have my own waxing kit that I've totally ditched. An epilator, I guess looks like an electric razor but it pulls your hairs from the roots. I got a braun silk-epil x'elle one. If you're used to waxing then epilating shouldn't hurt at all. It's really worth it for me!

what is the pain factor associated with an epilator? like tweezing?

I also have super visible pores on my legs and hands...I've found that a tan helps to conceal the colour contrast of my normally pale skin and darker pore. A good scrub also helps remove the scaly skin helping to smooth out the overall texture (I find my pores seem more visible when I have dry legs...ironically I have a oil slick face and desert-dry arms and legs)

i also have visible pores on my legs n hands that is mainly due to removal of hair no matter by wax or razor as i have used both i also have braun razor.i have read that these pores are due to wrong direction while removing the hair.well..i hv been using baby oil of jhonsons .daily massage before sleeping it really works my pores are almost gone on hands n nw little remaining on legs.but whenever u wax after that apply any type of oil on ur skin n massage to prevent pores.

I have the same problem on my right leg Sad It's really unsightly. That said, one of my friends told me that her large pores on her leg shrank after she got her leg hair laser removed. She told me that the pores still automatically shrink once the hair is gone and also the dark spots will fade as well.

Maybe you should wax it instead of shaving it?

I wonder if using glycolic acid and taking an antioxidant blend w/vitamin C (required for the collagen production) would help the pores look smaller--by puffing up and firming the skin around the pores.

I don't think that shaving cause pores.Perhaps there's other reason that causes large pores.
