Pros and cons? Which is the best for the skin? Specially for saggying, dry and ageing skin?
Thank You! |

Coconut oil kills bacteria and unclogs pores.
Rosehip oil ,for me at least is light(no purging when i used it for ocm) and helps with problem areas. |

Rosehip tends to be better for dry skin. Apply to damp skin and it soaks right in. For me, coconut doesn't seem to soak in as well. |

I use coconut oil for hair, not necessarily for my skin in general as it is kinda "heavy" for me and tends not to absorb quickly and makes it "greasy". On the other hand, I find rosehip oil light and tends to absorbs more quickly. For my skin, I find rosehip oil better as it is a good moisturizer, has anti-oxidant properties like vitamin c, lycopene and some fatty acids to improve skin cells, make it more supple and moist and give more protection from free radical damage. Both products are good but it depends on your own preferences. Good luck! |

From my experience I prefer coconut oil. The only con is you have to heat it up. The pro is it doesn't break me out, unlike rosehip which does break me out and feels heavier on my skin.

For me, I feel I am still learning how my skin reacts to these oils - I have really fussy skin that breaks out with most things. So I cannot use rosehip on my breakout-prone areas (T-zone, for example). However I suspect I break out too, from a recent use of coconut oil + baking soda, for exfoliation.
I like rosehip because I find it lighter, more easily absorbed and with a less intrusive smell. I tried using it in my undereye area, to smooth out some lines. |

I like coconut oil for the body. I don't need extra oil on my face. |

Rose hip broke me out on my face. Coconut oil is awesome, and I love that it does NOT smell like coconut. |

Weird, the coconut oil I have used does smell the coconut. Bethany, what brand have you used?
I do like using it on my hair. |

I really like it for my hair. (I am oily and acne prone so I hesitate to try it on my face.)
I bought mine from the grocery store. Good size jar for $1.99. Mine does not smell like coconut either . I think it does depend on if it is refined or not refined. Mine is cheap and most likely refined. |

It was Spectrum Naturals...not sure if it was refined or not, but it was basically odorless. |

I almost bought fish oil from Spectrum Naturals. I decided otherwise because it was highly purified. (I now use raw salmon oil)
I don't know if their other oils are refined, but it wouldn't surprise me. |

I use cno on my hair and it helps keep it from getting too dry or brittle. I love RHO for my face -- it's very healing and soothing and does well with my dry skin. |

I use coconut oil and Rosehip oil. I have been using rosehip oil for a couple of years and have noticed a dramatic change, for the good, on my face. I recently started using coconut oil and I love it as well! So now I rotate the two! I will use coconut oil one week and rosehip oil the following. |

I saw someone stated that you had to heat coconut oil, but that is not true. Coconut oil will turn into liquid as soon as it touches your skin. So basically put a small amount on your finger and you will see it transform into liquid. I use organic coconut oil. I purchased it from walgreens. I use trilogy rosehip oil and love it. |

Coconut oil is wonderful for hair, but I think rosehip oil is better for skin because of the extra antioxidants and whatnot.
Unfortunately I've actually never found a brand of rosehip oil I liked. Even when they are extracted from the same species of rose it seems like the quality varies dramatically among brands. |
