It's an excellent product, and in my opinion, totally worth the cost. I've had a Clarisonic since 2006 (well two, since I had to replace one that crapped out after 3 years).

I have a Clarisonic that I love. It's not the Mia but it is a Clarisonic. Not sure how many years I've been using it, but it has been years. I love it.

I have the Mia 2 and I love it, it's worth the investment. It takes care of the dead cells and make your face feel super clean. I don't use it daily as recommended as I think it's a bit to harsh for my skin when use daily.

I also have the Mia 2 and I am very pleased with how well it cleanses my skin. I use makeup remover wipes and great cleansers and I thought my skin was very clean, but the difference when I started using the Clarisonic was marked. The brush had some makeup on it and my nose was much less dotted looking in the 10X magnifying mirror.

I especially like the Mia for travel, when there just isn't time for my full skin care regimen. You can choose to exfoliate more or less thoroughly with different brushes and cleansing times. The base unit fits into its own little case so it won't turn itself on while in your luggage, but you have to decide for yourself how to carry the brush(es) and charging cord.

I had already gotten past acne when I bought the Mia, so I can't comment on that, but I have noticed some tiny little bumps that had been on my face for years just got smaller and smaller until they were gone. Coincidence? Maybe, but Retin A and various peels and treatments hadn't removed them.

I'm just wondering whether clarisonic makes a marked difference compared to scrub exfoliation. From what I have read, exfoliation once/week is ample; and clarisonic is just another form of exfoliation - just with a higher price tag

I believe there is a marked difference. I used to exfoliate with other methods and they didnt have the anti acne effect that the Clarisonic did. It uses sonic waves. I think that makes the difference.

Vivi, it certainly does an excellent job cleaning skin - I think the sonic effect helps shake out pore muck! Personally, I only use it once or twice a week. Without doubt it does a better and more gentle job than scrubs. A lot of scrubs contain harsh grit that I believe can do more damage than good, they can raze off dead skin and oily build up but don't get into the pores to clean them out. I dont know how the Clairosonic compares to the Pretika or Sirius devices having not used them, but they are a lot cheaper.
On a side note, my son has used the clairosonic on his very acned skin without seeing any positive results at all.
Exfoliation once or twice a week is great, but its my opinion that more than that can be damaging.
The uppermost mantle of your skin, albeit dead skin cells, actually helps protect your skin from environmental damage. Always moisturise after exfoliation as it can dry out your skin and mess with the healthy ph levels.
Sorry, went on a burble! In answer to your question the Mia is far gentler on your skin than scrubs yet does a much more thorough job of cleaning, highly recommend!

I was going to say that. There's something about the Sonic Waves that does good things for the skin. I was watching a YouTube video once and the expert on it was talking about how good regular use of the Clarisonic was for the skin. It's not just the exfoliation, I don't believe. It's the "sonic" portion, too.

I have pretty sensitive skin but have had good luck using the "body brush" for my face. It's larger and gets more of the skin while using it. I personally like the size of it.
