I've tried soo many and they either look too mask like or are too sheer so I need too much concealer.
Skin is very acne prone and I'm looking for a as natural as possible...I'm mid late thirties and have some acne scars to cover...oh and large pores around my nose. Looking for dewy/satin finish.
I've tried lots...here are some....
Physicians formulas (fdt and tm)
BE (all formulas)
Alima
Revlon
Aveda (inner light was my HG)
Vapour
Yes to grapefruit cc
Juice Beauty cc
Boscia bb
It cosmetics
Just to name a few that I've tried lately.... |

Jane Iredale is awesome at coverage and since it's a MMU (mineral makeup), it's pretty 'natural' too. I use a primer underneath to help control my oily skin and give a good smooth base for the MMU. JI is sold in a lot of spa locations since it's recommended after laser treatments. It's recommended because it's gentle. It is also very good at coverage. I have bought mine on-line and at a spa. It it good to buy your first one somewhere you can get color matched, though.
And, they offer refills for their pressed powder kits, which can offer a bit of a savings.
For extra coverage of red spots, I will use Mario Badescu's Special Healing Powder (a color corrector ++ for acne prone skin) under the JI. |
