Hi everyone, I am new Been lurking this forum for awhile.
I think I read once that if you have cellulite, let's say on your legs, and when you 'lift it up' with your hand and it disappears then the area just needs to be toned. Is there any truth to that? I probably didn't explain that too good.. lol
At 25 I have quite a lot of cellulite on my upper thighs, front and back. Also on my stomach, but I'm more focused on the legs. I drink more than 8 glasses of water a day, eat well, and recently started to dry brush and apply coconut oil.
I also LOVE Callanetics Legs. I haven't seen much result in the shape of my legs yet or cellulite, but I love how light and long my legs feel after the workout. I feel like it doesn't target the back of the legs enough though.
Today I decided to try Tracy Anderson's leg exercises from her Mat workout.. it was just OK.
Anyone have experience doing either of these leg workouts? Or any other suggestions? I don't want to add bulk to my legs- I don't even like my calves as is. |

I cannot speak on cellulite, but it seems to me eating well (especially fresh fruits and veggies), dry brushing as well as exercise are all good ways to help reduce cellulite so you seem to be on the right track. For the question in bold, I can point you to some info.
Like you, I do not want bulky thighs/legs. Lawd knows I naturally have that feature and want less of it, so for that very reason, Quick Callanetics Legs is the only leg workout I will do and I love it. I talk about my experience with the workout in this thread:

I have only done Tracy Anderson's Arm workout from Youtube but the discussion below was about her DVDs so may have some info for you or at least direct you to the people you could PM for more information:

I haven't done the Tracy Anderson Matwork DVD but I think for shaping, nothing tones it up like heavier weights and body weight. Using heavy resistance will shape you up faster. Lunges and squats will tone up your thighs the best, just don't do them too deeply at first, and once you can do them with perfect form, add heavier dumbbells.
Callanetics is an oldie but goodie. If you like that, you might also enjoy The Bar Method form of exercise. Someone on one of my forums recommended a book called " World Class Legs" and that's a really good program if you want a program in book form. It uses mainly your own body weight, and a ball for resistance.
One exercise DVD set that is really worth it are the classic Firm DVDs. By this I mean the first 6 developed by the Firm. The newer ones aren't as good, IMO. They lost something when the original creators bowed out. The sets, hairstyles and workout wear are a bit dated, but if you follow the program you can really make yourself over. They promise "visible results in 10 workouts" and you certainly will see them if you keep at it. HTH. |

NONIE! I always read your posts on a different forum and you were the one who got me into Callanetics Legs, amongst other things. I would religiously read anything you wrote on Shape training.
Thanks so much.
I just want slim legs with that slight feminine dent on the thigh. |

rosebud - It's Callanetics all the way to get what you are looking for - I'd start with every other day and then you can knock it to two days per week. Plus some fat-burning. |
