This forum seems to be a great place to reach out for skin care help! So I joined the forums and here I am! I am 30 years old and feel like I am starting to develop so wrinkles. Mainly around the eyes and the forehead. I bought some zinc sunscreen from CVS a few weeks ago but I have not used it daily. I also bought some alpha hydroxy at Walgreens about two months ago and that seems to help some but I am not sure. I think a lot of the lines I am seeing are from squinting so much when outside. My eyes have always seemed super sensitive to the sun. I now have two pairs of Costa's that are polarized to keep in my vehicle and the misses vehicle. Even with sunglasses on all the time I find myself squinting sometimes. I spend a lot of time outdoors and I think I am starting to see the result of that now. Other than the lines around my eyes and forehead I seem to have some oily skin at times. Then sometimes my forehead is dry and flaky. I do not understand how I can be both. I can tell I certainly have some oily skin or something going on though. The wife mentions my pillow and my side of the bed. You can definitely see that my skin discolors the sheets and my pillow where I lay. I have read a lot on the forums and a lot is talked about different products and different brands. The more I read the more confused I seem to get on what would be best for me. Hoping some of you can chime in and help lead me in the right direction. I am sure brands of products play a huge roll as well. Thanks for taking the time to read my post and I look forward to the feedback!

I don't know anything about products but hopefully those who do will chime in. Anyway, I will chime in with my 2 cents.

Having an oily and dry skin I believe is what people have when they say they have combination skin, which isn't unusual at all. Or the flaking may just be from using acids to exfoliate.

You can't use sunscreen casually; You MUST use it daily, especially since you're using exfoliants.

As for the squinting, you just have to train yourself to stop doing it. You are probably doing it now out of habit now rather than because of the sun being bright since you even seem to do it when wearing shades. Be attentive to your face and practice relaxing when you feel yourself doing it.

Anyway, doing a search is one quick way to find answers if your thread seems slow in getting responses. I did a search for threads started by guys but it probably doesn't matter whether the info is for a male or female. Any good skincare regimen should work for you. But these threads started by guys may offer some direction:

http://www.essentialdayspa.com/forum/viewthread.php?tid=48078

http://www.essentialdayspa.com/forum/viewthread.php?tid=47558

Then I quickly looked for threads by people looking for a basic regimen or direction on where to start and found these:

http://www.essentialdayspa.com/forum/viewthread.php?tid=47786

Hopefully those will keep you going...and not be too confusing. If they are, then a specific question may be less daunting to answer so don't hesitate to ask.

Well, if you are using anything with acids and not using sunscreen every day you can get more spots and wrinkles and make your skin worse!

Also if you are squinting all the time, maybe you need to get an eye exam?
I think I was told you need eye exams every 2 or 3 years...

I'm not familiar with Costa sunglasses, usually if i am outside a lot and in winter too I use Smith brand sunglasses, but Oakley is pro much easier to find.
