Just wanted to share with you guys a response i had from 'Environ' - South African product with distribution sites world wide. Happened upon it by chance, as you do, and some of the products sounded really interesting - I particularly liked the sound of their new C Quence eye gel with all sorts of goodies like argireline, matrixyl, vitsA, C, E and the rest of their Ionzyme range, which they claim to be one of the most advanced skincares in the world for treating sun damage, acne scarring, pigmentation and general aging - using 'high doses of vitamin A,C,E and Beta carotene.
I E-mailed them to request more info re the % of argireline, vit C and A - wanting at the end of the day to be able to make an informed choice before parting with hard earned cash - This is the reply i got:-
Thank you for your email. We do not divulge the percentages of our
active ingredients as this is classed as confidential information. I
can
however tell you that you would need to start with Ionzyme C-quence 1,
the progress to C-quence 2 and finally to C-quence 3. We believe that
one should start off with a low dose of Vitamin A and slowly increase
the dosage. You could start using the Ionzyme Eye Gel immediately.
Kind regards
Pam Ellwood.

Hello,
That does sound really weird!
At least its good you emailed them before buying so now you know that this skin care line is not trust worthy. I wouldnt want to know what they put in their products after the response they gave you lol

I guess they think you are going to run out and make your own if they divulge the full % of ingredients.
How very short sighted of them. Don't they realise we are becoming well educated in what we want from our cosmetics and we want to know everything about them. It's their loss at the end of the day.
I agree the basic ingredients sound good. |

Hi Shivvie,
I received the same type of response from Murad when I emailed them to find out what percentage of Vit. C was in their Essential-C Eye Cream. They responded that they could not divulge that information. |

My guess is that if it was high and something that they could thus use in marketing their product then they'd tell you. That's my take on it. I really like the Murad Essential-C, it's a great eye cream, but I would NOT reply on it for vit C content. That's my Au$0.02. |
