At night, I use a blend of two natural oils, for anti-aging purposes. But I've been wondering if I should add jojoba oil to the mix. I've never used jojoba oil before, so I'm wondering if I should even bother at all to buy it. I get the feeling that jojoba doesn't really do anything in terms of helping to reduce lines/wrinkles. Am I right about this? Or does jojoba actually help to reduce signs of aging? |

What are the 2 blends of oil you use? Jojoba oil is no miracle worker. Just a very good oil many use on their face. It's in the same league as Macadamia, Grapeseed, and others. It's said to very closely resemble the natural oil your skin produces. Might help some with lines/wrinkles but I'd say you'll see no additional benefit if your already using good oils. |

I am not sure which oils you are currently using but if you are looking to change to something else, I think rose hip oil would be more beneficial for lines than jojoba oil.
According to Wikipedia:
"The oil contains provitamin A (mostly beta-Carotene). It has been wrongly said to contain retinol (vitamin A) which is a vitamin solely made by animals from provitamin A. It does however contain levels (up to .357 ml/L) of tretinoin or all-trans retinoic acid, a vitamin A acid that retinol converts to." |

I use Monsia Skincare and jojoba esters is included in this product line. I read essentialoilsforhealing.com/weblog/?page_id=3
and as a result I have added a couple of extra drops to my intense night repair cream. It works well and I am staving off any signs of turkey neck! (71yrs young) I use straight jojoba oil on my hands before bed. It is working better than the cream moisturizers I have used in the past, so will keep going with it. |

Thank you. Rose hip was one of the oils I had considered buying. |

This is from the Garden of Wisdom site; properties of oils/shelf life, etc.
While I do like Rose Hip Oil, please note it is has a short shelf life.
I also like the sample packs of oil from GOW based on skin type.
I am a customer of GOW; not affiliated.

I don't think oils can make a major difference for wrinkles.
I think retinol can help. |

If you want great oils for wrinkles, try Rose Hip see oil or a good quality Argan oil. Both of those are awesome and will really make a huge difference in the texture and quality of skin, keeping it plump and healthy. I usually use a rose hip serum at night and massage it into my skin, it works incredible well.
This comes from someone who has used more cosmeceuticals than most people out there, yet high quality oils are necessary to keep the skin supple and healthy! |
