Hi all!
So I was watching Inside Edition this evening and all of a sudden this story came on about RE VIVE products ( a line of skin care made by a Plastic Surgeon), which is sold only at Neiman's and Saks. A SERUM alone costs $600. This is the first time I've heard about the product line and basically it is about 3X more expensive than Perricone. Is that insane or does this really work? Are there diamonds and platinum flakes floating around in the bottle? Has anyone tried it? I'm curious!
ps: A friend of mine in New York (very trendy) was talking to me about how she will never purchase an eye balm that was less than $100. It got me thinking that unlike us (the people in this forum) there are a lot of people who think that price = quality. There comes a point - at least I think this - where a $600 Serum is going to do no more for you than a Serum by SkinCeuticals for $95-$115. Those are my thoughts at least!
ps: help me w/ my graduate thesis and do my survey on what you like in skin care products!

I will be posting results soon...they are interesting. Thank you all for you help! |

Hello..
About the revive products. I've used just about every product in the line.. just not the cleansers. I"m 22 and I used to work for a retail store that sold revive.. so i'd be getting free products and samples all the time. I couldn't tell you if they work or not. cause I don't really have anything to be worked on.. I still use the Vit-C serum I love that. I gave the $600 serum to my mom, It's very very rich, I mean if you apply it 8 hours later, your skin will feel as if you just applied it. The Lip cream is amazing, really worked, the eye creams are pretty good as well. I've even met dr brown. the founder of the line. very nice guy, Told me that I didn't need anything hehe, but I don't know if it's worth $600 people would buy it. I think botox would be safer. |

My mother-in-law swears by Revive. And her skin does look great. People take her for 10 years younger than she is. Of course, she does go for peels & thermage treatments too. So I don't really know if the effect is more that than the Revive. But man is that stuff expensive!
I'm sorry, but there is NO product out there that is worth that kind of money. The ingredients aren't anything that special. Nothing that you can't find in other lines for less. But they are nice products though. I guess if you can afford it, go ahead! |
