Hi guys! I would LOVE some advice from all you Dr H users out there.
My mum is going to Germany on Saturday and the price of Dr H out there is like a fraction of what it costs here, so I figure it'd be a sin not to ask her to get me some.
So I've already started to compile a list and its looking quite long already
1. Cleansing Milk - well I've gotta get my BE off somehow.
2. Rhythmic Conditioner - no moisturiser at night? I don't think so - gotta have some of this.
3. Rejuvenating Mask - I just couldn't ignore all those rave reviews.
Now for the bit where you guys come in...
4. Facial Toner or Clarifying Toner
5. Moisturising Day Cream or Quince Day Cream or Rose Day Cream
And finally, a little bit about me...
I have sensitive combination skin that tends to lean towards the dry side at the moment cos I'm sitting in an air-con office all day long. I haven't really had any breakouts since using the cleansing cream. Am definitely NOT oily.
Now the facial toner is for sensitive skin and the other one is for combination skin. Which is less drying/harsh? As for the moisturiser, I would like one not too heavy, but not too light Any advice would be much appreciated! I don't ask for much eh? |

rzecka,
I've used the Moisturizing Day Cream and the Rose Day Cream. I have dry to normal skin and am 46 years old. I loved the Moisturizing Day Cream and stopped using it when my dog stole it. (She was attracted to scents.) It went on really easily..the consistency was very close to a liquid but then I got a sample of the Rose Day Cream and my skin just glowed and now I'm hooked. I stopped using it for a week or 2 when I ran out and I saw the difference in my skin. It's also very gentle and has a soothing quality. I think it would calm down irritations and I use it on parts of my face that have had a little too much friction.
As for the Quince, I haven't tried it yet. I like the consistency though. (Tried a sample in the store and the consistency was looser than the Rose) The Rose Day Cream is very thick and it does a wonderful job moisturizing but it seems that the Quince would soak in right away. And it seemed it might be even more moisturizing than the Rose but I could be wrong. The Rose you have to work in a bit but I LOVE it. hth |

Rzecka - I'd *so* be stocking up on the cleansing cream if I was going to Germany!
To answer your questions:
The facial toner is the gentler of the two. I have it and really like it but have not tried the clarifying one. By the name of it though, it will be the harsher one and may cause some dryness if you are prone to it.
In terms of the moisturisers, I have the quince and the rose one as well. The rose day cream is too rich for my skin on a daily basis (no breakouts but it feels too greasy on my normal/combo skin during the day). However, this is a wonderful cream to have if you do have any dryness or any sensitivity. It does make my skin glow so I like using it every so often at night (if only Dr Hauschka knew! ) just as a pick-me-up for the skin. You can use the rejuvenating mask in much the same way. I find the quince day cream much more suitable for use during the day. It's not as thick/rich as the rose day cream. |

Queenpedauque's review and Mabsy's past comments on the Rose Cream have sent me over the edge! I'm going to place an order today - I must have this cream!!! I too, would *so* be stocking up on the Cleansing Cream! The whole Hauschka philosophy fascinates me!

Ok, I'm really torn now
I've just had a quick peek at the reviews at MUA it seems some people find the Facial Toner MORE drying/harsh than Clarifying Toner - which makes absolutely no sense to me Has anyone out there tried both?
Mabsy and queenpedauque: I love the sound of the 'glow' you describe getting from the Rose Cream... but I'm a little worried about it being too heavy/greasy... Think I'll go for the Quince Cream (unless someone else pipes up in support of the other two )
Thanks all of you for your advice so far!
ps I did some quick maths - getting all the above plus the cleansing cream and the normalising day oil would set me back £210ish here. In Germany it would cost £90ish HUGE difference |

rzecka,
Just curious, where in Germany have you found it? I'm headed across the pond in a month or so, and would definitely love to find a way to rationalize my other overspending while there by getting a deal on something!
Thanks! |

Hi jcp, sorry its taken me so long to reply
I've ordered my goodies from http://www.vitalversand.de/. (Well, technically *I* didn't order them - I asked my cousin who lives in Germany to order them for me, but you know what I mean )
At the moment they are having a 25% off sale on all Dr H products. I'm not sure whether this is something they always have or whether it is just a special offer at the moment . (They also have discounts on Weleda, Vichy, Roche Possay and Orthomol bis at the moment too).
Unfortunately, they only ship within Germany so you'll need to ask someone to place the order for you.
But seriously the prices are truly amazing. I got:
1. Cleansing milk
2. Cleansing cream
3. Clarifying toner
4. Normalising day oil
5. Moisturising day cream
6. Rejuvenating mask
7. 50 Rhythmic Night ampules
ALL FOR UNDER £70
If I was to buy all that here in the UK it would set me back over £200.
Btw, being a woman I completely changed my mind re which moisturiser I wanted. I was gonna get the Quince, but I read on the Dr H site that it is not suitable for fatty, impure skin. Well, think mine might just be that so thought safer to avoid. |

Rzecka,
It is interesting that you mentioned that Quince cream is not suitable for impure skin
I ordered it with my last EDS order and waiting for its arrival . I hope my impure skin likes it. |

Thanks so much for the info, rzecka. I've emailed a friend to let me use her address, so it will be great fun to have a package waiting for me when I get there! |

I am thinking of trying this line. Is the cleansing milk safe for sensitive, rosacea prone skin? How about moisturizer? I hear raves about this product and the curiousity has just gotten the best of me! |

mollmarie - I know that Leeleedeedee uses Dr Hauschka products and she does have *very* sensitive skin. Having said that there may be people that do have a reaction to it due to allergies to a particular ingredient. Personally, I think the Dr H products are very gentle and effective, but then again I don't have sensitive skin. |
