i have combination skin and had breakout mostly on nose area and also redness around those areas as well. i usually got breakout on the between the area below nose and upper lips. and i also got pitted holes around those areas as well. Other areas, im quite ok with it (i think so )
another thing, when i do the survey on MD Formulations website, i had been recommend to use the sensitive skin care but wat i need is to clear all the acne i got. so, im thinking using the problem-prone skin care of MD Formulations.
so i would like advice from anyone that can help me to choose which brands suit my face well...im thinking of MD Formulations and Jan Marini.
thank you so much |

The Glycolics will help clear your skin anyway, even if you use the sensitive range. With glycolics its important to start with a gentle low % product and gradually introduce more products/frequency of use. (So start with the sensitive cleanser once a day and see how you go, no problems increase to twice a day, still ok? The you can add a treatment once a day, then twice etc etc.) Once you are on the full regime you can then consider upping to a stronger level IF your skin needs it. If you dive in straight away with the oily/acne/ skin range or a high % and all at once you risk sensitivity, redness peeling and a lot of sun sensitivity.
You may find the MD Formulations antioxidant spray is light enough as a moisturiser for your skin but please use a sunscreen over the top!
Hope that helps!!:O) |

Hi Adelaping, I agree with Lucia - I'm no expert, but i have used a few of the MD formulation products to address areas of slight breakout and dehydration and slight scarring on chin. I found that using the products that were also suitable for sensitive skins strong enough!! As Lucia said, i would start with the lower levels of glycolic and see how you get on.
Just thinking that i dont know if you still have breakouts - but if you do, you may want to check out Yonkas Juvenil and i think its called cream 15, which people have raved about for controlling breakouts. For the scarring, check out posts on epidermx - based on the reviews and information on the product on other sites, i bought some - have only just received it, so cant give you any personal feedback i'm afraid - but check it out. I bought my Epidermex fromWWW.goldportbeauty.com - also bought the camellia oil cause its been raved about so much.
In fact i've bought so many new products recently, that i'm not sure how i'm going to fit them all in!!
Good luck in discovering the ones that work for you |
