Well, gone and done it now - in desperate search of Holy
Grail, have taken the plunge and bought shed loads of Yonka - my card is still smoking
Items bought (how the hell am i going to hide this lot from my husband )
Lait nettoyant
Phyto 54 (hopefully deal with little redness)
Optimizer to use AM after phyto 54
Optimizer fluid to use PM with
Elastine nuit
Suppose i can use my vit c serum still??
This is a huge scary leap of faith for me - usually i only go for, and trust serious chemicals!
Can anyone out there offer any reassurance please?
Off to go try purge some of this post-splurge guilt thats threatening to consume me |

I dread it when the postman comes with parcels and hubby is in. "what the f**k have you bought now
I now say that I am testing things for people that I have met through EDS and they are free.
I am not going to heaven. But I should look gorgeous by the time I get to the other place.
I am sure you didn't buy anything that you didn't need.LOL |

Thanks for support Gals!!
If products work and i attain a never before reached level of gorgeousness ( ), then i will feel vindicated in what the angel on my left shoulder keeps telling me is gross self-indulgence and vanity - i keep telling her that it is insecurity - if i was truly vain, why the hell would i feel it necessary to submit myself to all this correcting and beautifying - i'd be smugly bathing in the glow of my dewy, plump, umblemishished, peachy skin
All i can say in my defence is, when i woke this morning and my skin was feeling sore and new blemishes had erupted from God knows where (couldn,t be the vit C could it? and the thing about chocolate is just an 'old wives tale' isn't it?), i panicked, grabbed the plastic ....and the rest is history!
If the Yonka fails me, it's razor blades and gin
Well, maybe just the gin!! |

Don't worry, Shivvie. We can share our guilt together. I spent nearly £100 on Elemis products today.
A very, very early birthday present (well over a month early). I second your belief that we will be vindicated if these products work for our skin. What else would the money have been spent on? Food, heating, mortgage repayments - pah! Who needs all that stuff? |

Too funny! How many times have you got away with that one?
Shivvie - I have not tried the YonKa products you listed but I can tell you based on previous experiences that chemicals aren't necessary to get results! Please let us know how you go with your new collection and take it easy when introducing it as well. |

Will hang on to your words Mabsy as i slather the products on (to have faith in natural products too) - know i should follow the advice to introduce products slowly, but in reality i know i won't be able to stop myself jumping in with both feet It's like getting a box of your favourite chocolates and trying to limit yourself to just a few - it just ain't gonna work!
Thanks Rzecka and Toe for vindicating me as well - safety in numbers - pretty impressive spending girls and the great thing about early, early birthday presents, is that by the time it really is your birthday, they've been all but forgotten and you can have another pressie
Thought that the reason for forums such as these was the very important business of sharing product information, feedback and advice. Now i realise that it is a way of making yourself and others feel better about humongous sums of money spent on 'beautifying' - a support group!
Hmmmmmm - Loopylori - think you need a little help with all those products you are so self-sacrificingly trying out for other eds members - you know - the free samples that keep turning up in the post - sure my husband will understand
Will let you know how i get on with Yonka |

I use the testing excuse and it worked when I was getting stuff from ayton moon, I just said that sometimes they come in branded containers.
Weird thing is, he refused to believe that the stuff from the beauty bible was REALLY testing stuff and he thinks I bought it |
