Anyone have strong opinions on which of the two is better, gets better results. They are both for normal/combo/oily skin but i'm torn between which to choose. I've heard great but similar things about both cleansers and have read all i could find on the forums but am just wondering whether there are some distinct differences between peoples likes and results?

With combo skin I'm liking the sound of the benefits of the dermal clay cleanser but I do like a nice gel like yonka gel nettoyant.

thanks all

Hi!
I've tried both and I must say that special cleansing gel is the best!dermal clay is probably good if you have really oily skin, because it sort of sucks up all the oil on the skin's surface. But I think it's the menthol in it that became a little too much for my skin. But it's good if you want to use it as a cleansing mask! Special cleansing gel, on the other hand, makes your skin feel smooth and squeeky clean!!

I have used both and still have the dermal clay cleanser. I have combo skin, tend to be dry in winter and oily T-zone in the summer. I like both cleanser, but find dermal clay a bit dry for the winter. Special cleansing gel is good for both winter and summer but with the more greasy skin in the summer, your skin will feel so smooth and clean after using the dermal clay. Maybe you can use dermal clay at night and the gel in the morning? I usually have both products as they serve me differently. Oh and if you use the Dermalogical scrub with the special cleasing, your skin will look radiant after. I am sorry that you are probably more confused the more information you have. The Daily Microfoliant is also great. Dermalogical does those little sachet of samples, go to the salon to get some and try them all out first. I do like Dermalogical a lot and have been using it for years including their facials. But people told me I should change products from time to time even it's a very consistent product. Good luck!

I love the Dermal Clay Cleanser but could not use it everyday on my normal/combo skin as I think it would dry me out. It leaves a *great* refreshing minty feeling on your skin though, which makes it really good to use in the morning to wake yourself up.

I'm a bit of a Special Cleansing Gel -aholic personally, have had quite a few bottles over the years because it is still pretty gentle and more neutral. I do it twice if I have a lot of foundation on and prefer it to Dermal Clay in that respect.
The menthol in the Dermal Clay cleanser is something you will either like or dislike! It is lovely in the summer though and can be left on a few minutes for a bit of a "mask" treatment ( unlike the Special Cleansing Gel which is just a foaming wash off cleanser) so that's nice too. Umm, you dont want to get that one in your eyes, the minty feeling is not the best then!
I always keep a bottle of Dermal Clay on hand too though. Smile

Is the special cleansing gel any better than any other gel cleanser though? It seems quite regular to me and not enough benefits, which is what draws me to the deep, purifying of the dermal clay cleanser although I fear it will dry me out.

I prefer the clay mainly because it really gets deep to remove dirt.
