After reading a review about Epidermx microbrasion on the EDS message board, I thought I'd try the stuff myself. I have a couple of mild acne scars that are VERY stubbborn and take about 6 months to clear by themselves , so i wanted to try a product that would help speed up the scar healing process. I also want to get a 'glow' from my skin.
No fancy packaging, and the so called free sample of face oil was tiny compared to the generous EDS samples. But, I've tried the product once, and I must say that my skin felt a lot smoother and looked clearer after I used this product. I've been told that I have to use this product a couple of times a week for a few months to see the best results. I hope this is true as I would love to clear all my scars and look forward to the day when I don't have to cover up scars with makeup.
So, at this stage, I would give this product a thumbs up But, if anyone else out there has used Epidermx for a few months, I love to find out if this has worked for you and is not just a shorrt-term wonder. |

Hi ya. Read your post about Epidermyx with interest.
I too have read rave reviews about it on this forum and would love to try it too.
Could you please tell me how you got your free sample sent to you? I would like to sample one too.
Thanks for you help.
PS: You wouldn't happen to know where to purchase it in Aussie land would you? |

Hi there,
I ordered it from getskinappeal.com The site is American but I think they can ship orders all over the world.
I ordered one pot of Epidermx cream for $45 (U.S dollars). I don't know if you can get a free sample of the actual cream, but with your first order you can get a really small sample of Camillia oil that the website recommends to use after the eprdemx cream.
I hope this helps! Let me know if it works for your skin too. |

I just found a rave review for the Dr Brandt microdermabrasion...I haven't tried this brand yet...so maybe it would be worth asking EDS for a sample....? |

I've been using the Epidermx with Silkia camellia oil for a couple of months. I've seen significant improvement in my fine lines and indented acne scarring. The red marks were faded and blackheads gone in a couple of weeks.I really like the fact that my face looks very clear, smooth and bright now. As mentioned in another thread sometime ago, my face has been brightened up so much that I don't need foundation anymore. I do agree that if your scars are the indented type and not just red marks, you need a couple of months to see big results. |

Oh, just add that I've tried the Dr. Brandt microdermbrasion cream. My opinion is that it's not as good as the Epidermx. I couldn't get any layer of dead skin roll off my face with Dr Brandt's, so it's just like a regular scrub to me, at best only slightly better (the crystals are much finer than the particles used in regular scrubs). I can see my dead skin junk come off with the Epidermx every time, so I think it's more effective.
Get a sample first if you want to try the Dr. Brandt. I wouldn't pay $75 for the full size. |

I also read the great reviews about this product and couldn't wait to try it. I ordered mine a few weeks ago. I've followed the instructions to a T, but I must be doing something wrong. I don't get the layer of dead skin that's supposed to roll off, and I KNOW I have plenty, so what am I doing wrong ? I keep rubbing it in (beyond the time it says to) and...nothing. I see how you can use it as a "treatment" 2-3 times a week (this is where the dead skin should come off) and daily as an exfoliant (rubbing it in only for 15-30 seconds). Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

First of all, your face must be just a little damp for it to work fast and properly. It'll take you a long time to rub if your skin is too wet. Keep your fingers dry when you rub the cream onto your face. Massage in small circular motion, one area at a time.
Also, stop using things like Retin-A, AHA, glycolic acid and other chemical acids a few days (at least 4 to 5 days) before the Epidermx. |

So, let me ask you...
Do you only start with one section...let's say your cheek. You only put a little on one cheek and work that area for a while? Then move onto another part of your face? I've done the slightly damp. Should my face be more dry than damp?
Thanks for your feedback. |

Yes, I start with one section first - my right cheek and then the left one. Then the T-zone and chin and finally the forehead.
I can't tell you whether it's more dry than damp. For me it's really just a little bit damp. I guess you have to do it by trial and error and see how much water you should use.
If your skin is in pretty good shape now, maybe you don't really have a lot of dead skin. You can just do it once a week so that there's more dead skin buildup for the Epidermx to remove. My skin is pretty good now so I don't need to do it that often. I normally do 2x a week, sometimes every 4 to 5 days. |

I have to say that I got a sample of the Dr. Brandt's MicroD. from nordstrom and I did not care for it at all. The particles were super tiny but felt super abrasive as well. I really felt like I was scratching my face up when I used it. It was smooth afterwards but I can't say that it was any smoother than if I had used something cheap like St. Ives. |
