Hi,
I just turned 27 last week and figured it's never too late to start a "prevention program" . I've been diligent about wearing daily sunblock since I was 14 and it seems like vit-c serum would offer even more protection against photoaging.
So I recently jumped on the vitamin c bandwagon and ordered my first bottle of SC serum 10%. Here's what my AM regime would look like:
1. cleanse
2. apply SC Vitamin C 10 serum
3. apply SC sunblock spf 30
I know that according to Skinceutical's website, you should apply B5 gel in between the serum and sunblock. Can I skip this step? This sounds silly, but I really want to apply as few products to my face as possible. As it is, I don't wear much makeup. I leave the house wearing sunblock and lipstick. So the idea of putting all this stuff on my face is weird.
Will the results from the serum be less than optimal if I don't apply the gel?
I'd rather just use the B5 gel at nighttime (under Alphaderma).
Let me know what you think.
Thank you all in advance.

Hi Katie! I don't think you have to use the B5 in-between...it helps to alleviate dryness experienced by some when using a VC serum but I don't think it's necessary - the C doesn't rely on the HA to be effective.... I don't use one between my C and my other topical treatment products....If you feel you don't need the extra moisture boost then I wouldn't bother adding the step - especially if you are not used to putting alot of product on your face - just keep it sweet and simple!
