Hi everyone, I just received some new products from EDS today I have a question about the order of product application. I've been using Jan Marini products, but I think my question would relate to any product line. I'm using a cleanser, a facial lotion, eye cream and what is new to me; a skin lightening gel. Has anyone used skin lightners before? Do you use them before or after your face lotion? The directions say "apply as directed by physician". Now that's a big help Can anyone shed some light (bad pun) on the lightening gel application
Thanks a big bunch, joani |

I haven't used one before but this is something that I would be applying directly on the skin before I apply the moisturiser. |

Thanks Mabsy, That's what I figured but wanted to make sure. I'm excited about trying these new to me products in the Marini line. I don't know if I'm dreaming, but I woke up this morning and my skin is amazingly soft. I keep touching it and sure enough, it really is softer. I'm looking forward to seeing what happens over time. Thanks again for your reply, Joani |

Hi Marina, I was thinking of you last night when I opened my package from EDS and there was the tinted sunscreen. I have it on today, but I'm going to need a few days to see how it compares to the regular sunscreen. It did go on evenly and the tint is very natural looking so I'm keeping me fingers crossed for this one.
I also got the Bioglycolic Facial Cleanser which I already love I'm going to switch between it and the stronger Bioglycolic Oily Skin Cleansing Gel. I got the Bioglycolic Facial Lotion Rx which I'm going to use every other day and night switching between it and the Bioglycolic Bioclear Lotion (which I alread use and love, but it is strong!). I also splurged and got the C-ESTA Eye Repair Concentrate. I have been using any old eye cream I had around (which is plenty ) but I wanted to start getting serious about the skin around my eyes. I'm having a birthday soon and I can't quite figure out how I got so old Finally, I got the Bioglycolic Lightening Gel. I've never used a lightening product before so I'm hoping this works to even out my skin tone and diminish some old acne marks. Well, that's it. Quite a haul! I'll let you know in a few days about the tinted sunscreen. take care, Joani |

hi there,
I just read in Allure Magazine (i think Dec '07 issue) that physical sunscreens can be applied last in one's routine, but that in the case of chemical sunscreens, they must be applied first, to "bare skin." Is this true?
Does this mean that my routine has been backwards, and possibly, ineffective for so long?
ARGH !!!!!
Sunscreens are generally thick and I can't imagine putting serums and stuff on AFTER my chemical sunscreen??!!
NOTE: I'm still altering between Neutrogena Dry Touch SPF 55 with Helioplex, and Vichy Capitol Soleil with Meroxyl. I use these for the high PPD (UVA protection.) The crappy part? They are not as fresh smelling and nice to put on as physical blocks. I put mineral makeup on top, especially to cover the shine. Can't find a middle ground. If anyone can help, please provide recs!!!
thanks!
