Hello,
I am not sure if Dr H cleansing cream is as effective with acne/minor spots as other cleansers. Does anyone know?
I havent noticed it clearing my skin of spots yet, been using it for 2 weeks at least.
I might be breaking out a little due to overload of products which I am stopping right now to see if it helps with breakouts.
But I feel that I need a good deep pore cleanser for this time to get rid of all the gunk in my skin that other products might have caused.
What are the ingredients to look for in a cleanser so that its strong but doesnt dry out the skin?
What could u recomend?
MD Foundations? DDF?
Thanks!

Hi!
I found the MD Formulations cleanser cleared my skin when I suffered breakouts/mild acne. I now use MD Forte Level 2 cleanser. It isn't instant but it does work. Just start gradually say once every other day then once a day etc until you can use twice a day with no problem.
Hope that helps! ![Very Happy](images/smiles/biggrin.gif) |

Hi Lucia,
Thanks for your post!
Which MDF cleanser did you use?
I saw they had some cleansers for normal and for sensitve skin, I wonder if they work the same.

I used the normal version and found it to be brilliant - I discovered it by accident when I got a freebie with some BE foundation.

I'll second the MD forte rec. I use the glycare cleansing gel and the glycare II lotion. The glycare is for oilier skin. I do that in the morning and cellcosmet gel in the evening. Dermalogica's dermal clay cleanser is another one that is good for acnaic skin that is a bit oilier.

Hi, I have used Glytone cleasner for my oily skin and it helped. I think any cleasner with salicylic acid in it would work, as long as it's not a cream, but a clear gel. The higher the % of salicylic acid the dryer your skin will become. Most cleansers range from .5 to 2%. I now use Jan Marini products and they have helped with my oil and breakout issues. Good luck! I've used the MD Formulations one with good results. In general, you are looking for something with glycolic acid but salicylic acid would also be very helpful. |
