Hello all,

I've been a skincare nerd for quite some time and have decided I would like to try to begin some small beginner DIY projects. I was wondering if you guys could point me in the direction of the best online source for a good starter/essentials kit? There's so many different stores that I'm not sure where to begin. I know of a handful of things that I'll need, mostly I'd like to try creating one of each basic type of formulas (a cleanser, a serum, an emulsion).

Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks Smile

Thanks Pandax12, only one of those has DIY kits - am I missing seomthing? Is it best to just order all of the ingredients individually? I'm not quite sure what is a good set of starter basic ingredients, just supplies.

Your best bet is to search the recipes on this forum and elsewhere and buy the raw ingredients separately.

skinactives has a vitamin C serum kit....so does lotioncrafter

So there aren't any ingredients that are more commonly used than others?

I have seen that but it doesn't really answer my question. I know that there are common bases for moisturizers, some serums, and some cleansers and I'm trying to figure out what those are. I am not looking for a specific product recipe, but for some common base ingredients for emulsions, for example.

Great question. I'm curious what others will say!
