I have tried the Matrix Amplify Vol. Shampoo. It gives good volume, but I noticed it also makes my hair dry & causes it to fall out. Any suggestions on other volumizing shampoos that also moisturize? Thanks |

I have always found the best results with anything in the Phyto line. They have items for every hair "condition" and they are most gentle. The bottles are glass, though, so you need to be careful! |

Kerestase has a awesome volumizing shampoo. I can't remember the exact name of it, but it is in the green bottle. |

I just got Pureology's Volumizing Shampoo and Conditioner based on the recommendation from Casper's Mum who said Pureology products were great for keeping one's color-treated hair from fading (I just got my carmelized highlights redone on Friday and I don't want them fading away to nothing-ness by the end of the month!!). It's too soon for my to rate its volumizing abilities but I have a question for anyone who has used Pureology in the past: How the hell does it lather so well when it doesn't contain any sulfates???? I've used sulfate-free shampoos in the past and they hardly create any lather at all (unless you shampoo a 2nd time), although I realize that lack of suds does not necessarily indicate that my hair wasn't getting cleaned but I know lots of people are put off of sulfate-free products because of this, so I'm just curious to know how Pureology managed to maintain the lather without the dreaded sulfates?? Especially when you only need to use a *tiny* amount of product to get a head full of lather! It just boggles my poor, overworked little mind! |

Mohair by Sebastien - this stuff was *too* volumizing for me - My hair isn't thin - but I wanted extra POOF -- well I got more than I needed...it was as if the strands *really* "swelled" - it was too much for me so now it's just sitting in the cupboard. I'd highly recommend this stuff if you need more volume!
