I am in need of a new eye cream, the more messages I read the more confused I am, there are so many out there to choose from. I have used Dermalogica, Laneige, Chanel, Sisley(-too expensive) but think I need a better one.
I have just move to Canada's East coast from Europe, so the extremely cold here has really done harm to my 31-year-old eye which were in such condition before. People used to think I was mid-20s. The cold here has dehydrated my eyes (under my eye specifically) and has started to show fine lines. What should I do? What should I use? And I don't really want something too greaser. Any help is appreciated.

Thanks tons!

Hi KK, I know how confusing this forum is to newcomers, and despite having a high number of posts, Im still fairly new and still finding my feet. You are right there are so many eye creams its such a difficult choice. What I find more confusing is when one brand then has 3 or 4 different types of eye cream. Ive tried to many and not been happy with one yet. The Okusil is very popular on this forum and managed get great results for some but for me it dried me out too much. Im waiting for cellcosmet after a wild impulsive purchase, in the meantime Im using some samples from la Prairie. What I did was I emailed a few different spas or companies and asked them to send me samples out. La Prairie was great as it sent me 5 different eye samples. I also got an Elemis one too, thats all I've received so far, but a few minutes on the email was worth it, cause I can decide from those whether its worth risking the full size. Im fancying the Phytomer Eye Contour next as that is supposed to have a good tightening effect, and I definately need that. Rolling Eyes Good luck with your search, but do some research first if possible, it could save you some money.....

Try eye balm from skinceuticals..I'm going to try it when I reorder my vit. c. serum. I could have used it this winter...we've certainly had a cold one. Here's a link to some reviews.

The best eye cream I have used so far is Illumessence from Aubrey Organics. I only use all natural products, so my selection has been very limited. This product has worked quite well for me and doesnt leave my eyes greasy. It's also been a lifesaver for my dry elbow skin! Go figure. Wink

Thanks everyone. Cindi, you are lucky that you can get samples so easily in UK. I used La Prairie before, but was not very impressed with it, not to mention it's expensive. I hope it works out for you.
I thought of Skinceuticals and Vit. C serum, but don't how long I can keep up with all these steps. But please let me know how you like it once you try it.

I am still awaiting for more suggestions. Thanks.

Hi KK - welcome! The Canadian weather is fierce - and the east coast can be wildly cold! B.Kamins is a really nice line designed in part to treat skin that does not respond well to Canadian winters...you can check them out at the The Shopping Channel...Another nice one is the Dermalogica Power Firm for Eyes and Lips -- this treatment is silicone-based - so when you put it on, it just glides on and really protects the eye area from the elements. I've just ordered the Cellcosmet trial pack so that i can try the eye cream which just gets *rave* reviews! A controversial treatment that I've had amazing results from is Strivectin SD...if you can get a "squirt" from somewhere to try it, I'd really recommend it - especially if your eye skin is parched (just use very sparingly - this stuff is potent!)
Good Luck!

The Cellcosmet Eye Contour cream is fantastic (well, you all know how I feel about it already so I won't dwell on this) but I'm not sure if it would be moisturising enough if you were in a very cold climate. Generally you'd need to go for a thicker cream I think. Shiseido Benefiance is very good if the eye area is really dry (or it it's really cold out) because it is very rich. Ditto for Dr Hauschka Rose Day Cream.

I think starting on a vitamin C serum though would be a very good idea. But you should also incorporate something with SPF.
