So eczema runs in my family but primarily mine is under control. I have no signs on it (anymore) on my body HOWEVER, my hairline shows signs of possibly slightly having it. Could this be the cause of hair loss? Anyone here have eczema and use anything that works that I could maybe try on my scalp before having to spend money to see a specialist? |

So do you mean seborrheic dermatitis? Because yes, it can manifest mainly along the hairline. And yes, SD can cause temporary hair loss for some. The good news is that the hair almost always grows back.
Avoid shampoos with SLS and/or SLES. My main HG is ok'timey Prell. But when I'm having a flare up, I turn to Neutrogena T-Sal. The trick is to leave the lather on for several minutes before rinsing off.
I also use a BHA toner, just on my hairline after cleansing as a preventative. It keeps my hairline issues under control. |
