Has anyone used this for acne? I been using it for a few weeks and all it has done is create more cystic acne in my jawline area. I already had a lot of cystic pimples but now not only do i have that, i have 30-40 more pimples in that area and its very red.
I read that lot of people have an initial breakout but is it really this bad? My jawline has went from severe to very severe now. |

My son who is 13 was prescribed Epiduo for his comedonic acne. The first time he used it was a disaster, within a week he was much much worse, a peeling sore mess. Of course I knew all about the side effects of Retin A but this was awful, so after a couple of weeks we gave it away. After some time his skin was still getting worse, so I did some research and decided to try it again. This time he used a tiny amount diluted with another moisuriser and applied it at least a hour after cleansing. Applying to damp skin makes the side effects worse. This time he still reacted and had a purging stage after about a week...but very much milder. After 6 weeks his skin is pretty much clear, just an occassional blackhead etc.

Try to give it 90 days to see if it works. |
