If I were you I would get an Rx from a doc for Retin-A or Renova. Tretinoin has been around for about 30 years now and has lots of clinical research to back up results - which include thickening of the skin so fine wrinkling disappears, repairing sun damage, and helping with hyperpigmentation. Retin-A is the start of a long-term commitment to anti-aging. The other things I'd recommend would be use of a vitamin C serum and a stable sunscreen every morning. If you don't already, you might want to exfoliate with a physical exfoliant (scrubbing beads ,etc) or a chemical one - alpha hydroxy cleansers/serums/creams or enzyme cleanser/scrubs/masks. Both of these will help to get rid of dead skin cells which will be brought to the surface much faster by the Retin-A. Expect to wait about 3 mos. before seeing results with this sort of regimen - but the wait will be worth it. Your skin will look great. If you still have wrinkles that seem to deep to you or noticeable, you might want to consider fillers like fat injections or Restylane/Perlane, etc. |

Hi Paulabrown! Are you talking about the nose to mouth smile lines? If so, *good luck* They are just about impossible to soften in any meaningful sort of way...if you have a pretty firm face with "smile creases" then you might want to try an argirelene-based product ..but again, those smile lines are deadly difficult to soften. One thing I would definitely recommend is that you pick up a vitamin C serum - there are excellent C serums on EDS - they give a nice tightening effect, the results are cumulative and C has wonderful regenerative and protective properties! You might want to pick up a complimentary vitamin C cream as well! (see Vivier, Skinceuticals, Cellex C)
