Ok so my hair has been annoying me really bad lately...I want to try something like a short hair cut (like pixie short) either that or dye it a black.
right now my hair is mousy brown and my skin is ivory yellow and its lacking contrast or interest in my overall appearance...I'm going job interviewing in august and I want it to look nicer than it does.
I've been all colors from blonde to dark dark brown. I look my best in blonde but im afraid
those days are over...lighting my hair has damaged it and I was thinking I could try black...I have a feeling putting pigment in the hair with a 3% developer would benefit it rather than hurt.
The reason I suggest black is I have light grey eyes with really big pupils (does anyone know what causes that?haha)and very pale skin.
I figure it would bring some life to me as long as I use a tinted lip balm so my lips don't get washed out.
I have a heart shaped face, big forehead, narrow square chin, round nose, and pretty small lips, I want to know if the black is going to make me look funny?
I don't know you guys...I need a change, hairs been the same the last 3 years and I want it to be more fun when I'm looking for a job.
My hair is very fine and thin btw, I know that may affect which colors look better, My hair also has a lot of cowlicks so even if I straighten it in the morning an hour later the ends are all sticking up/curling up, and last thing- my hair is not layered.
So
If you can use your imagination (which is why I gave so much info) and tell me what you think please do! and if you need to see a picture please PM and help me find out how to send a pic haha.
Thanks |

If you already know blond is the best on you why you don't go with some blond high lights around your face an in this way you can get the colour and Not too damage it too much if you go black and you don't like it it will be very hard to go back... And yes the short hair I think that would look great and funky |

I like the highlights suggestion above. Sometimes black can look so severe, not sure if that is the look you are going for.
Try something shorter with layers. It would give you more volume. |

It really depends on the job which way you could go with your hair and where you live.
• Midwest health care: conservative, and neat and clean.
• Coast art&fashion job: edgy as you wanna be.
Coconut oil will help hair condition as a mask:

Thank you fawnie
Still wondering if I should do anything or not haha.
I've tried coconut oil but..hairs too thin I end up washing it 4 times after I put it on...is there anywhere I can buy silk/silicon based products?
I may give the coconut oil another try though...I know I put a lot more on than I should with the amount of hair I have.
And I live in Colorado, in a fairly small rundown urban area but the city is pretty trendy and fashion forward. I was hoping to work in more that environment.
I'm going interviewing as a newly licensed Esthetican, normally I wouldn't do more than a nice hair do and slacks with a collared shirt for an interview but, I'm going into the beauty industry and I have a feeling there going to hire someone partially on there looks, especially a new timer...who still has acne haha. So I was hoping just to do something so I don't look so plan Jane!
You know? |

Yeh coconut oil might weigh fine hair down unless you just used it on the ends.
My hair is fine and blonde and I use this (its the only deep condish Ive found that doesnt darken my hair):
LiQWDITY Intensive Hair Repair

Broccoli Seed Oil - Creates amazing shine and gloss with a combination of fatty acids; an excellent emollient and moisturizer for dry, damaged and frizzy hair
Silk Amino Acid - The fundamental constituents of silk proteins; provides superior moisturization; ideal for repairing damage
Hydrolyzed Silk - A silk protein substance; surprisingly strong; has water-binding and antioxidant properties
Aloe Butter - An optimum moisturizer, long known for its remarkable healing and soothing properties; contains minerals, vitamins, amino acids, enzymes and proteins; smoothes; adds suppleness and flexibility

Its not that exxy either. A big jar lasts me a year and its only $24. If you order from the site they send full size freebies too! Good luck with your job interview!

You only need like a fingernail-sized amount on squeeze-dried hair. Leave on 5 minutes and rinse well. Or use it overnight. Even without any styling products my hair feels great and supple. I use it once a week now that my hair is in better shape but Ive had home-color disasters and it rescued me. |

I think I'd def. use overnight if its not too heavy...I'll try to remember to only use a tad haha, I always subconsciously grab for a blob of product...even though I KNOW it wont do any better! hah |
