This article shows her at the Cannes Film Festival going on now. Early in the day she had a very puffy face but by evening it had "deflated." Was this an allergic reaction or is there some treatment that would give a temporary puffiness? There is a close up and then further down pics of her in a white dress looking puffy. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-2628374/Nicole-Kidman-gets-67th-Cannes-Film-Festival-glamorous-start-dazzles-jewel-encrusted-royal-blue-gown-Grace-Of-Monaco-premiere.html
Don't get me wrong, I adore her and think she's gorgeous.

Bonus: scroll down and see former supermodel Nadja Auermann. Remember her?

Audrey Tautou and Karlie Kloss had the worst dresses. Blake Lively and Nicole Kidman (blue) the best.

Most of the women don't look good in red lipstick. So harsh.

I think the close up picture makes her look weird because of the bad lighting and shadows.

She must have had some kind of treatment that causes temporary puffiness. But puffiness is the least of her worries, poor thing. Her film is being TRASHED by critics. Sad

Botox and fillers don't disappear in a few hours.

She only seems to get botox when she is expected on the red carpet promoting a film. Who wouldn't, knowing all the scrutiny you're subjected to? I've seen her with crow's feet like we all have after 40. I use botox myself so I am not going to criticize anyone else who does. Nicole has beautiful skin. I'd love to know which sunscreen she uses.

That's fine softskin - I'm not knocking her or you for using Botox. To each his own. Just sayin that ALL of the Hollywood stars get Botox, fillers or more. They also get many other treatments and regular facials. But personally, I always think it's comical when the press talks about how great a certain star is aging. Seriously? Try aging really well the "au natural" way and then talk to me about how great they are aging. That's all. ~ Aprile

And that includes the men. You can tell with G. Clooney and G. Butler but it's done very naturally, leaving them with a few lines. I heard an interview with Butler where he said he now gets facials and was kind of amazed at himself!

I do laugh at the ignorant journalists who claim Helen Mirren, Judi Dench and Meryl Streep are aging naturally. Yes, they are, but with judicious, discreet help from their doctors.

These people make their living mostly based on their looks and if the competition is doing it, they have to, too, or risk looking worse by comparison. Same with real life. Women my age who don't do much for their skin look older than I do. And that's fine by me! Bad Grin

YES so true!! I saw interviews with men admitting they had facials too. Lol. I cannot imagine my own husband EVER having a facial done. But I think facials are very under-rated. I started doing them at home, masking, steaming, etc., and my skin has greatly improved. Anyway, I totally agree that these people would be crucified if they ever allowed themselves to age naturally given they are in the public eye. Also, it does make ALL of us feel better when we look better!! Best, Aprile Smile

Facials for the average man? I don't really care. However, I wish more men would get pedicures now that summer is upon us! Shock

Lol... No it was Hollywood types admitting to the regular facials. Anyway, I will say though that regular facials for us women really, really works and can be done at home. Facials with masks, steaming, facial massage, etc., all make the skin look so much better. But I hear ya about the pedicure thing; I've seen some ugly male toes. Lmao.

It only looks 'puffy' because the headline says 'puffy'. Otherwise you'd never notice, looks normal to me! Just the tabloids trying to come up with some gossip haha

What about Susan Lucci? I've been wondering if she's had anything done. She's 74 and looks amazing, but very natural.

I think Nicole Kidman was at her natural prettiest in Days of Thunder. Now she looks like an entirely different person to me -- still pretty but not her.

Basically yes I do. I haven't totally reshaped my face or its features to look like an entirely different person.

It's an interesting topic that caught my eyes and it is amuzing to read all the comments about Kidman's puffy face. Your guessing are all that possibilities- bad lighting, allergy, Botox, Saulty food...etc. But, we all will get older and do the best we can to get to know what might be effective treatments to rejuvenate our youth.
Kidman is the same.

She looks quite alien like as does Melanie Griffith. Melanie was completely unrecognizable in one of her latest movies. She too was extremely attractive and then went to fillers. She looks terrible now. I believe Jennifer Anniston is well on her way too. If you notice in the Aveeno commercial her face doesn't have the same chiseled shape it once had. In fact, it's quite rounder and fuller. Funny, I thought our face thins as we get older not get fuller. Confused

Ollie, you do pay attention to details. And what you think if indeed more or less they have got some work done on their faces? As I said, most of us get kind of panic when we come to realize we are well in the ageing process. Guess, those celebrity will get even more stressed about that. What else can they do other than go to find some dermatologist or plastic surgeon.

Nicole? Jennifer? Helen Mirren and Meryl Streep? Really?

And no one has ANYTHING to say Renee Zelwegger or should I say about her Evil Twin sister?

Oh c'mon!
