Hi,
I am just wondering if anyone had tried using Rosehip oil with raised acne scar on face. I usually get a pimple on my face once in a while but sometimes, I tend to pick it and for the first time, it became a raised scar with a bit of dark pigmentation (Woahh!). I have tried Dermatrix ultra gel before and it helped and improved a bit for about 6 months and I am looking for a more effective product. I am purchasing the Russell Rosehip oil at EDS. I will let you know if it works and I will appreciate if you share your experiences too.
Thanks,
Imee |

I did a Google search for Dermatrix ultra gel. It is sold at well.ca. Most of the reviews on their site are for people using it after surgery.
I have sensitive fair skin so everything shows on my skin.
I think the best thing is regular sunscreen. The sun can increase the pigmentation. AHA will exfoliate the top surface of the skin and anti-oxidants (vitamin c, etc) help even skin tone.
While I like Rosehip oil, I am not sure it will help a scar other than keep it moist. My Rosehip oil is from GOW. GOW advises a short shelf life on this product; IIRC 6 months.
I always like to hear anything positive. My DS tends to be a picker. |

I'd suggest using a great vitamin C serum, like one of the Vivier serums sold here on EDS. Vitamin C is not only boosts sun protection but it helps rebuild collagen and fades pigmentation.
I find it's the best way to deal with any residual dark marks. It along with a good sunscreen = success over time. Some marks can take up to a year to completely resolve, so be patient.
G'luck! |
