I am extremely far sighted and wear less and less eye makeup. I have a mag. mirror but the whole process of bending over and finding the correct distance to apply makeup is a real pain. Has anyone tried special glasses for eye makeup application and tweezing? If so, could you give me some recommendations.

What about trying rectangular glasses? I've tried to tweeze while wearing my oval glasses and it was a total disaster!
Or how about a monacle and doing one eye at a time? Hee hee. |

My friend perches her specs on the end of her nose and looks at her reflection through them and applies eye make up behand them. It's a bit tortuous, but it gets the job done. Do you have a couple of old pairs you could take the lenses out of one side and look through the other? Maybe Mr Winnie could knock something up that would work?

I saw some glasses for this problem, but of course I can't remember where I saw them. Anyway, they are regular glasses, but the have only one lense. You look through the one lense to make up the other. Then the lense pivots to the other side so that you can do your other eye.

EEK, those are scary! I have the same problem. Don't you just love "older" eyes? (I speak for myself only!)
I still use a magnifying mirror (10x!), but I'm starting to think that everyone is looking at my skin and face and seeing it the same way that I do when I'm looking at it 10 times more magnified (wow, look at those pores!). I remember a female derm doc said that the magnifying mirror was the worst thing ever invented for women!
I'm afraid that I'm using too much makeup, so I'm like you Winnie, I've really cut back on wearing it. I also wonder if anyone can see it behind the lenses anyway!? I don't think I'm coordinated enough to use those funny glasses! Joani |

Yeah, that photo could be a poster for a scary movie.
Joani - step away from the magnifying mirror!!! Nobody else can see what you are seeing so you are stressing yourself out for no reason. My husband is usually the only person who is that close to my face and he needs reading glasses so I'm just a lovely blur to him. |
