Hi all,
Over the last few months I've tried over 10 different sunscreens. Recently I've switched back to 'Olay complete defence daily UV moisturising lotion, spf 30+' for sensitive skin. It seems to be one of the few products my sensitive skin will tolerate that doesn't leave a white caste or look greasy.
I live in Australia and catch public transport everywhere, so I'm often outside for 10-15 minutes at a time several times a day walking to and from places. I'm also planning to introduce retin-a in a few months. I'm 26.
My question to you lovely ladies: does this sunscreen provide enough protection? The ingredients are:
Active ingredients: Octyl Methoxycinnamate 7.5% w/w, Zinc Oxide 5.88% w/w, Octrocrylene 2.5% w/w, Octyl Salicylate 2.5% w/w
Preservatives: DMDM Hydantoin 0.35% w/w, Iodopropynyl Butylcarbamate 0.013% w/w

I would be sure and apply enough to face and neck.
Don't scrimp. There is better SS options; but I would stick with one that you can wear daily.
Another suggestion is a hat and sunglasses for additional protection.
I also like a sunscreen powder as a finishing powder. I apply this over my SS. EDS sells one. |

Honestly, UVA-wise I would not be satisfied with this one.
I like a minimum 10% zinc oxide, mexoryl sx/xl and tinosorb S/M.
My top picks are:
-Ducray Melascreen Spf 50
- Skinceuticals Ultra Facial Defense
-Topix Replenix Sheer Physical SPF 50
-Invisble Zinc Environmental Skin Protector spf 30
- La Roche Posay spf 15
- Vichy Aqulia Thermal SPF 15
- Avene Emulsion spf 50. |
