So, ever since I can remember, my family has openly practiced a sunburn remedy that is pretty consistently met by onlookers with a perplexed and slightly bitter expression. It's strange to me that it is so effective, but I have quite literally never met a single person who has been hip to this amazing trick. It's Vinegar! I go with the white but red works as well. I have found few things in life to be as consistently amazing in results. The trick is to go strait for the Vinegar; before the shower, aloe, or anything else. Don't be shy either. Splash and dab liberally. Try to let it soak in for a while before hitting the shower. There it is. Believe it or not. |

Does the red vinegar stain clothing? |

I find that aloe vera, sea kelp bioferment and Vitamin E (straight from capsule or in a natural oil) work very well for healing burns.
Basically, things that are good for healing tend to work well for on burns. |

Ha my Mum used to use vinegar on me when I was a kid also! White, brown, whatever was in the cupboard at the time. I don't think anyone outside the house ever actually saw her do it so I have no idea how unusual it is. Are you in Australia Kelly? |

No, from California. Really surprised that more people did not relate here. One of the most effective home remedies ever! Maybe the world just isn't ready yet ![Wink](images/smiles/wink.gif) |

As a group; overall we are very serious about taking care in the sun. The best thing is NOT to get a sun burn. I always wear sunscreen and limit my time in the sun. I am very fair so I need to be cautious and protect my skin. |
