Hey guys.
Listen i'm tired of my redness in my skin, mostly around my cheeks. i've tried so many things.. i just don't want to waste money anymore and wonder if there is some kind of dermatologist treatment that would help with my problem. I saw on TV today on TLC a dermatologist doing a laser treatment for redness. I was just wondering if anyone had something like this done. and the price of it? and what questions would I be asking the dermatologist when I go in.. thank you |

Look in the phone book for physicians that do IPL or photofacial treatments. Photofacial treatments consist of usually 5 or more treatments...what it does is it zaps your skin and works inthe skin for about 3 weeks..drying up blood vessels and redness (which really are blood vessels..some are just very closely packs into the skin)..i had to shop around before i found a place I liked. Other places charged 2500 (i live in MI) for a series of only 5...I go to a spa where i spent 1,000 and they allow me to come in for as many as i need until im completely red free. I've noticed amazing improvements in my skin...indeed ![Smile](images/smiles/smile.gif) |

they say you should go a once a year after the series of treatments to keep up on it..cause yes, the redness will probably come back. my redness isnt all gone, but im also extremely fair so they only put me on the lowest setting..my sister gets them too but shes darker then me (still fair though), and she gets a much higher setting. She actually called and complained today that she got bruises on her skin from her photofacial yesterday. I've never gotten that before, which is why its important that you find someone out there thats trained good. Some people just arent:/ |
