Has anyone used this product? If so, what do you think of it? It is intriguing me. Thanks.

I'm pretty sure many people here have used it (I haven't tried it myself). If you do a search of the past posts (upper right hand corner) you should be able to find all the relevant info Wink

I find that there is usually a "love it or hate it" response to this product...I hesitate to bellow from the mountaintops about how FAB it is because, of course, our skins are unique. Keeping that in mind, I LOVE IT! Laughing I'm not using it right now (my "I want to try everything" mentality is interfering with that!) but I have had great results....I hate the smell Mad ....it's strong and took getting used to...I used it around the eyes ( Shock I know....but it works!) and significantly firmed up the area...I was actually really shocked. I will say that the strong minty sort of medicinal smell made my eyes water slightly if I was especially tired or hadn't slept...but the pros (for me..) far outweighed the cons....I have heard of some people breaking out using it - but that didn't happen to me. My skin is 40, fair and I don't break out much...This treamtment really seemed to help stimulate circulation (my "colour" improved),firm up and refine the appearance of my skin. It didn't interfere with my cosmetics either...I use liquid foundation with a primer and it didn't impede the effectiveness of those products at all -- What I don't know is how well it facilitates the application of mineral or compact powder foundation......Good luck Very Happy

Strixaderm is a cheaper alternative, works as well (for me anyway). Saw a new product at Sally's that's supposed to be compareable, but can't remember the name. It's supposed to be even cheaper, but the same active ingredient.

Nuvectin is another knock-off that is much lighter in texture that the SSD (and less costly)-- I needed another moisturizer on top of it...

Thanks guys. Great ideas so far. I am going to research some of the alternatives as well. I always get nervous about the Vitamin C products although I love them due to the stability issues and thought this may be worth a try.... I have the "need to try it all" mentality too!

I'm scared to stop using my C! - I used it underneath both the Strivectin and Nuvectin...and had no adverse reaction at all (I currently use Cellex-C). By the way, if you decide on the Strivectin, Essential Day Spa sells it at an EXCELLENT price

I wonder what the experts think about using it under C. I love C too but read that you shouldn't use anything under the strivectin. If we only had time 5 times a day to apply lotion... we could alternate! I will check out the price here. I love this place!

OMG! I LOVE this place, too - isn't it fabulous???!!! (I have to stop logging on at work, though!!)...Re: putting the C on under the Strivectin...I wouldn't be without my vitamin C! Shock I would be surprised if the C adversely affected the efficacy of the SSD - I don't think the C has any occlusive properties....does anyone else have thoughts on this?

You definitely have to use a moisturizer first in addition to applying the anti-aging treatment.

Biopeptide creams are for targeting aging concerns and plumping collagen that should be used last in your regimen.

Peel-Cleanse-Tone-Moisturize-Treatment/s

Vit C is great for the skin especially with liposomes for deep penetration of the nutrient.

Wink I'm 36 yrs. old, and about a year ago, I bought Strivectin, I noticed within a week the improvement around my eye area. I noticed the fine lines at the corner of my left eye clear up quite a bit. I also have fine line next to the left side of my mouth, seems like the left side of my face is aging more rapidly than my right side... Ugh!!! Anyways, the mouth area must be tough, since I smile/laugh alot cause it didn't clear as quickly as the eye area. Maybe with continued non-stop daily use it'll improve. I keep pausing in between "new wrinkle cream" attempts. I'm such a sucker, I still had a 1/4 tube of Strivectin left but I decided to try out the other Strivectin knock-offs to see if they're better. Bad Choice for me anyway... the Strixaderm I bought at Vitamin World caused my eye area to dry up and wrinkle within a day... my skin reacted like it does to AHA... sensitive with dryness (Strivectin never did that). By day 3, I didn't see improvement, and I actually looked older around the eyes... yuck! So, I returned it for a refund, I didn't want to take a chance on getting more wrinkles and went back to Strivectin, and the area improved immensely within a couple of days... fine lines cleared up alot. Then, I wanted to try the new CVS version of Strivectin...(I forgot what it's called), and my skin didn't improve but started to return to the way it was with those pesky fine lines being noticeable again. So, back to Strivectin, and the improvements are evident. Seems I keep returning to Strivectin. My skin tends to be on the dry side, and Strivectin doesn't break me out. I need the extra moisture especially wintertime. I know I keep falling for the new "wonder cream", but I have yet to find one better than my ole tube of Strivectin. The last 2 days I tried Oil of Olay Total Effects night cream that I received a sample of in the mail. I stopped Strivectin yet again and I tried this for 2 days. Fine lines at the left eye returned yet again. Back to Strivectin. It plumps up the area nicely. I wish I could find something with even better results than Strivectin. Oh well, it's not fun growing old. Confused

Hi Rita - you sound like me! I, too, have had terrific results with Strivectin SD - especially around the eye area...My skin just loves it! About a month ago I ran into the Saleswoman who used to sell me Creme de la Mer -- she asked if I was still using it (wondering, since she hadn't seen me in about 9 months!)..I told her "no" - and got kind of nervous - I thought she was going to say "tsk, tsk, it shows on your skin" - but on the contrary - she couldn't believe how good my skin looked! When I told her it was Strivectin, she asked where she could pick some up! I sure hope she responds well to it! It seems to inspire pretty extreme responses - people seem to either love it or hate it!

Hey Pudoodles... I'm sure glad I'm not the only one Strivectin works for. I saw your replies on the "Ultimate Lip Plumper" thread concerning the Hyaluronic Acid with Biocell II. Is it still working for you? For me it's been 7 days, and my lips are the same...(maybe cause they look alright normally) It would be fun to have plumper lips though. How long did it take for you to see results? Perhaps the HA will help clear up some of my little fine lines on my face over time in conjunction with Strivectin.

Hi Rita! Isn't the Strivectin great?! I'm 40 and it's made a tremendous difference to my skin! I go on and on about it...I almost feel badly when someone tries it and then reports back to the Board saying that it did nothing for them Confused Oh well....I'm so glad it works for me! (yay us!) Anway..re: the HA and Biocell...I think you have me mixed up with someone else....while I'm desperately (stupidly?) on the hunt for the elusive lip-plumping elixir, I've get to hit pure gold - and I haven't tried the Biocell....Right now I use Clarins Lip treatment with Modelle Lip plumper on top with pretty good results... Very Happy

Hi guys, i seem to remember talk of strivectin bringing out a cream designed specifically for the eye area - but i never hear anyone mention it. Perhaps i imagined it Confused It was supposed to be as efficacious as the original strivectin, but not so heavily scented. This was one that i wanted to try out to treat dreaded crow's feet Exclamation

Hi!
I am new here, really love your forum.
I have been using the strivectin eye cream for about 4 months and I think my eye area got worse. Actually it was pretty good before ( I am almost 30 but look a lot younger), I never had any skin problem. Now I got some fine wrinkles and my dark circles got darker. I just stoped using it and I'm testing different things, hope I will find something that will get rid of the damage. I never used the original strivectin, maybe that one is different.

*yikes* - that's not a good experience at all..what inspired you to try the Strivectin? At 30 and actually look younger than 30...gee - I don't know...I would have gone for something far less intensive as a treatment (especially since it wasn't even designed for the face)...Why did you keep using it for 4 months? At what point did the darkness and wrinkles start to show? It's amazing how starkly different the repsonses to this cream seem to be. I guess I just got lucky!

I wonder about using it for 4 months too.
I don't know why I used it in the first place...my mother will visit me in 2 months and I'll have her try it. Maybe it only works when you need it Idea
I live in NY and the wheather has been pretty bad this winter and my skin isn't taking it too well...anyway, lots of companies promissed to send me samples and I hope to find something that plumps up my undereye area soon. Everybody recommends retinoids but I'm quite scared to go there...

Anidno, Ohh, that's horrible that the Strivectin "eye cream" did that to your eyes. I hope that since you've stopped using the Strivectin "eye cream" your eye area has returned to normal? I've never tried the "eye cream" by Strivectin cause the original Strivectin is perfect for both my eye area and face. I slather quite a bit around my eye area and face especially at night. I'm thinking the formulation in the "Strivectin eye-cream" has a slightly different formulation which doesn't work the same way as the original stuff. I haven't been tempted to try the eye cream because the original Strivectin works so well for me. I wear contact lenses, and the original Strivectin doesn't bother my eyes... except sometimes a little watery in the corners if I get it all the way close to the eye... which clears up after a while. All in all, I've been pleased with the results.

Rita
