Dr. Denese's Secrets for Ageless Skin -- I was wondering if anyone has read this book? I just picked up a copy and started reading it. She gives the ideal skincare regimen which is funny since everything she stated in the book is what I learned from this very forum. I think the Forum Members should have put together a book. he he he. I have only gotten through 1/2 the book, but it mentions cleansing with AHA's and toning, Vit. C Serums, Retinols, Argereline, Hyaluronic Acid, peels, microdermabrasion, etc. She also gives recommendations on name products. I noticed in her book, that she says using a Cleanser and Toner is not enough exfoliation on a daily basis. She states that one should use Glycolic Pads with at least 8% to 10% glycolic acid after cleansing and toning on a daily basis.
Anyone ever use Glycolic Pads? |

Seems like I saw these on the drugstore.com site...Can't really remember but they were like stridex pads soaked in the 10% glycolic solution. I wondered what the ph was and if they would be irritating so passed on them. (Maybe memories of Stridex burning my face off as a teenager turned me off. |

Yes, I use Dr. Denese's glycolic acid pads and they are excellent! I feel all my products are working better since I started using these to exfoliate at night. Excellent ingredients, I'm not at home so I can't list them. My skin is dry, not sensitive and I use these almost every night. My skin is brighter and more toned, pores are smaller. I also use them on my hands when I'm finished with face and neck and my hands are looking great too! |
