I just need some advice............i suffered from acne about 20 years ago...at the moment i get spots at the time of the month.......the blemishes left over from the spots seem to take months to heal.
I am currently using......Neutrogena Visibly Clear 2 in 1, to wash my face.......after which i use Decleor Progene Gel....after which i use Gatineau Melatogenine Emulsion.........at night i use Decleor Aromessence Baume Essential.
I also use Gatineau's laser mask now and again. I was also using Gatineau's Laser comfort cream.......but i find it brings me out in spots now and again.
The problem is.......the decleor baume essential did make my face glow in the mornings..not any more.........in fact nothing i use seems to have that oomph factor (if you know what i mean).
I am asian and have combination skin.....with time of the month breakouts which leave blemishes that do not heal for yonks!
I did buy SkinCeuticals Phyto Corrective Gel - used that for about 2 weeks to correct the pigmentation in my skin......everyone thought i had a suntan. Please note:- i do not want to whiten my skin........
I need something to make my face bright considering my skin is prone to spots..........and have even pigmentation...........i have a wedding to go to in 3 weeks or so. Can anybody help me.
I also tried using Avon's vitamin c cream......caused a massive breakout.
Thanks in advance

Excuse me if I missed something in your routine. I am on my way out so I am rushing a bit. I didn't notice an exfoliant in your routine. Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant gets good reviews on the forum. I really like Janson Becketts's Radiance Exfoliant. You skin probably is looking dull to you right now because it need a good exfoliation.
I note you are using Avon C cream. I would recommend that you use a C serum.
As far as the products you are using now I can't comment as I have never used them.
Good Luck,
Winnie
JB
PS: A good sun protection!!! |

Winnie...........i can probably buy the Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant from eds.........but wouldn't know where to order Janson Becketts's Radiance Exfoliant.......I'll tell you what i decide.
Looking at the forum..........the Yonka Jevenil and Yonka creme 15 looks good............but i need something to brighten my skin.........if the Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant helps, then i'll consider it...I was using a sun protectant....it makes my face breakout.......thanks again Karina |

Winnie..........i have just ordered the Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant £24.95, Yonka Cleansing Gel x 2(300ml for the price of 200ml) £21, Yonka Juvinel £26 and Yonka Creme 15 £24.....i ordered all the items in UK because if i ordered the stuff from EDS then the custom guys would charge me extra.........if these products work out......then i will order the stuff from EDS........thanks for your advice ......... regards Karina
Can't wait to see my credit card bill (not) !
I think that is where i was going wrong......if you don't have a good exfoliater - then it's just pointless in putting on all these expensive creams ie Gatinau Melatoginine....thanks again ![Wink](images/smiles/wink.gif) |

Hi Karina,
Ive used all of the Gatineau products you mentioned except the comfort cream. I originally had good results from the laser range but I switched and tried the defi lifts and the melatogenines but I never got the results that everyone else seems to have. And lets face it, they arent cheap. I dont think anything at all of the Gatineau exfoliator, there just doesnt seem to be enough beads in to actually exfoliate the face. I have bought the Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant and I cant believe how great my skin feels afterwards. It comes in powder form and after putting some in the hand, you rub wet hands together and make a paste and basically "wash" your face in it, exfoliating as you go. Its a soft paste and not grainy or harsh yet it leaves the skin feeling very soft. I hope you experience the same results. I dont know about the other items you've ordered as I havent tried them, hopefully they will help you achieve your goal but flawless skin. I order my parcels from EDS as they seem cheaper than some places and I have only been charged by Customs oncea long time ago. Now I order my items in smaller batches and they come really quickly too. |

Hey Karina, it looks like you’ve already ordered a whole new regimen so you don’t need it anymore, but I just wanted to let you know that Winnie herself is a sales rep for Jason Beckett so it turns out that you want to give that Radiance Exfoliant a try, just PM Winnie and she’ll guide you on placing an order!!
BTW, you probably already know this, but I wanted to warn you just in case because I’d hate for you to have a big skin flare-up just as you’re getting ready to attend that wedding: when your new products arrive, it’s best that you try them one at a time (i.e.: introduce one product into your regimen and use it for at least a week), rather than starting to use them all in one day. This ensures that if you have an adverse reaction to something, you’ll know exactly which product is the culprit and can eliminate it from your routine. If you use all your new stuff at once, you run the risk of causing your skin to freak out (i.e.: break out, develop a rash, etc) which could mean that you’re not ready to face the photographers at the wedding!!
Good luck – I hope your new purchases work out for you and I hope you’ll post some product reviews once you’ve had the chance to evaluate them...especially in regards to the Yonka products – I’ve been hearing such good things about Yonka that I’m dying to try a few things myself!

I received samples of the Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant in my last order from EDS. Karina, it is a lovely product. Think you will like it.
Hope you didn't get the wrong idea from what I said. If I lived in the UK and had access to product more local I would buy as you did. Who wants the extra changes added on. |

I've not seen yonka in the uk and they never repsonded when I emailed.
Karina - I love the Yonka products you have ordered - they have done great things for my skin - now I only use them occasionally.
The microfoliant will give you lovely soft skin - keep it clean and your other products will be able to absorb better. |

Thanks for all your replies ......Cindi, Carrie, Winnie and Eve.........
I do realise i have ordered a whole new regime I have always been an impulse buyer anyway..........i too didn't really like the Gatineau exfoliating scrub..........but like me.......i alway buy in bulk......thinking that i'll run out of the product any minute So when i got a chance ......... i ordered the whole Decleor whitening range.......to solve my pigmentation problem.........and Gatineau range.........i think it would be an idea......for all who have unopened packets or tubes of creams to sell them to one another rather than disposing of them.........after all - one cream/cleanser may have excellent results for one, but not the other
Eve, I too could not get Yonka products online in the UK........i went to their website and contacted the general manager, who put me in touch with some salons that do mail order and charge £3 for p&p and as i was told.....the Yonka gel was selling as a special (300ml in place of 200ml).........If you need the contact details........tell me
Cindi, i too was getting bad results with the Gatineau...at the beginning i had great results with the laser and melatoginine.....results were very short lived - but as you know......once you've spent £100's of pounds on a range (if only i'd heard of EDS then).....you somehow want them to work
Carrie, i will introduce each product one by one.......i have had bad reactions to the Decleor whitening range.......thanks - if the Deralogica microfoliant doesn't work out, then i will consider the Janson Beckett one - and PM Winnie.
and Winnie......i wasn't hurt by any of your comments you gave me some great advice.....like everyone on this forum.
Eve, if Yonka works .........then i will probably stick to this range........cause the reviews are brilliant on this site.........
Thanks everyone...........i always look forward to reading the skin forum especially the reviews............got to collect the kids from school...........

Just a quick update............i used Dermalogic Microfoliant for the first time today......couldn't quite figure out how the texture (not harsh) could actually exfoliate my skin........also used the Yonka juvenile on 2 really bad whiteheads........and also the Yonka creme 15..........don't want to jump the gun........but my face does look brighter.......and the two whiteheads have dried up within 12 hours of applying.......amazing.....hope Yonka can keep up the good work..........
also, when i ordered the Yonka juvenile.....i gave the order to the salon owner......and when i mentioned juvenile.......her reply was....'juvenile is just amazing'..........i thought in my head 'yeah yeah, and pigs might fly '.......but i truly ,am amazed in 1 day.
Also wanted to update, i ordered the Janson Beckett Radiance Exfoliant yesterday.
I know i said i would introduce each product at a time.........but i just could not resist opening the packages (Yonka creme and Juvenile) and also i had 2 massive (to me they were massive) whiteheads sticking out on my chin and cheek..
Thanks everyone...........great advice yet again.........i should have stopped watching QVC years ago and listened to your advice when i first discovered eds.......I would however like to add........when i did discover eds......the thing that put me off, was i thought by reading all the threads it was a skin whitening forum...I did not want to whiten my skin!.....it was just Godiva this, Godiva that..........that put me off the forum for a while......now it is just good, 'real', skin advice, you can rely on ![Very Happy](images/smiles/biggrin.gif) |

Karina - great to hear you're happy with what you got. The Dermalogica Microfoliant is not a manual exfoliator, it relies on enzymes to do the exfoliating. You should try to massage it in for at least one minute each time you use it so it has a chance to work. It's a fab product though and my skin looks brighter after I use it as well! As far as Juvenil goes... well I think it's very under-rated - it's really great on pimples but a lot of people are hesitant to get it because they don't think that a bunch of "herbs and natural stuff" could work on pimples that quickly.
Please also keep us updated on how you go with the Yonka Creme and the JB Radiance Exfoliant. But do take it easy on the beginning with all the new products and all. I know it's easier said that done - my EDS goodie box arrived today and I feel like slathering about 5 different products on at the same time! ![Laughing](images/smiles/lol.gif) |

That's true about the Juvenil.........when i first tried it.....by putting drops on my finger....the stuff just 'fell' of the fingers.....being of water constituency......then i just put some drops in the palm of my hand and dipped my finger in - and then applied it to my skin..........as for the Dermalogica microfoliant.......i'll have to apply that in the evenings........because i never get time in the mornings - what with getting the kids ready for school.......i barely get to school on time..............
I shall keep you all updated after 3 weeks of application............
Was that 5 products Mabsy.........
you have been busy!!! i usually find........if i can get away with one parcel, without my husband finding it.......then i know that it's safe to order another one.........the problem is ........ he doesn't leave for work until 11.00 am.......and so i have to keep my eye out for the postman........so that 'i' open the door discretly..... that is until he sees the credit card statement

Hi Karina, sorry to change the subject a little....but I just read your original post where you mentioned that you've used skinceuticals phyto corrective gel.....I just received this product through the post from Eds. I bought it to help heal a couple of pinkish/redish scars that remain after a nasty breakout a few weeks ago. Anyhoo - did this stuff do what it said it would?
I really hope it worked, as I've already bought it and will start using it tonight. Fingers-crossed!! |

Yazzy.........i did use the product for a few weeks or so.......then when i went to visit my mum........all my cousins thought i had a sun tan........and that just put me off continuing any use of the product............i think if i'd stuck at it for more than a few months or so.....then i'm sure i would have noticed the difference..........i get bored very easily ......and always want to try something new.......if it works out for you, let me know.......there have been alot of positive reviews on it...........
regards Karina
p.s. i will probably continue use of it, after buying the Dermalogica Microfoliant.........i'd say.......i really did need a good exfoliater........don't tell Winnie.....(I'm sure she's read it by now ....when i told her, i used an exfoliater.........it was probably once in a blue moon........or a day before a party or something.......i'm very lazy, i want one of those creams.........that just by looking at it.....it will solve everything, without lifting a finger ![hmm](images/smiles/017.gif) |

Karina -
It sounds like you’re starting to see some results from your Dermalogica Microfoliant, so I’m hesitant to bring this up, but...something else that I’ve found that really helps to brighten my skin and fade the red marks from past breakouts is the homemade aspirin mask. If you’d like to read more about this, check out my post/s in this thread: http://www.essentialdayspa.com/forum/viewthread.php?tid=4317&highlight=aspirin+mask and if you’d like to read what others have to say regarding the aspirin mask, here’s the link to the reviews on MUA: http://www.makeupalley.com/product/showreview.asp/ItemID=14129/Unlisted%20Brand/Aspirin%20Mask/
I’m utterly shocked that Mabsy and/or GuapaGirl (Liz) haven’t already jumped in with this advice, but something else that can help you even out/brighten your skintone and fade the red marks from past breakouts is the regular use of a Vitamin C serum. If you perform a search of “vitamin-C” on EDS, it’ll return a boatload of results but when I was first venturing into the realm of Vit-C, I posted this question which contains a lot of helpful info to start out with: http://www.essentialdayspa.com/forum/viewthread.php?tid=4181&highlight=intro+101
I hope you continue getting good results with your new products – good luck!
Carrie
P.S. I know what you mean about possibly mistaking EDS for a message board promoting skin whitening! Good Lord, until I joined this board and saw all the posts from desperate women hoping to little their skin, I thought that the entire idea/concept was merely a figment of Michael Jackson’s imagination!!! It’s downright frightening to read about some of the lengths those poor girls will go to in order to try to change their skintone.... ![Confused](images/smiles/confused.gif) |

Karina, I just love your name. I named my daughter Karina after my sister Karen. She lived in Russia for 5 years and her name in Russian is Karina. We can be so sentimental about names, can't we. Good luck finding the right system. The ladies here are wonderful about giving ideas.
